They've been absolutely outstanding tonight, playing Holland off the park, but I'd lay odds on them losing this if it goes to penalties. Time after time the team that dominates the match loses the penalties. I really hope I'm wrong as they've been so good.

I was thinking the same Bruce. Kept thinking Holland woul score a couple of scrappy goals due to defensive lapses. Glad to see football won the day

I'm looking forward to seeing if Russia can follow this up. None of their players play in the major leagues so they've kinda crept in under the radar a bit, but they've hit the big time with this performance.

I was talking about this specific match on this specific day.
any other result would have been an injustice imo.
I also think the Dutch victories came basically from set pieces and counter attacks. Don't get me wrong, counter attacks do make for exciting footie but personally, I think their is more merit in the way the Russians took the game to the Dutch. They generally try to play the ball out of defence (sometimes to the point of naivety), and constantly forged out chances from great approach play.
