Russia have come out the blocks 2nd half. Rooney concedes penalty- bizarre really he was in Lescotss position at left back when he gave it away. Why was he even there??!

Hopefully anger in the media is directed at the FA for not having any bottle when appointing McClaren ahead of someone like Allardyce.
 
I felt that McClaren has played players out of position, I mean why play a centre back (that is what Lescott is, he's emergency left back at most, but not as good as he is at cb) at left back when you have a natural left back on the bench?

Also how long before Gerrard is allowed to coast through games before being called to task. He's supposed to be one of the best players in the game, the sort of player who can drag a team over the finish line. Sorry, but I have not seen that from Gerrard in an England shirt.

How I yearned for a Beckham free kick in the dying minutes.
