We actually have a Michael O'Leary "tax" where we would rather pay up to €50 more than give money to that ponce.
(My girlfriend worked in the travel industry, so knows travel legalities pretty well, and still was threatened with being left in the UK when Ryanair cancelled a flight without notice, did nothing for the stranded passengers, rebooked her the next day to a city hundreds of kilometers away, told her to "claim on her insurance" and she had the audacity to complain.)
Unfortunately sometimes that's all you get as an option, however. And, if you realise that all you are paying is next to nothing and you'll get equivalent service then you can just about grit your teeth and bear it.
Try skyscanner.net though for possible alternatives. I ended up flying on Lufthansa coming back from the last trip to Goodison and it was a dream.
OK lad .No worries , but I thought the regulations were Euro-Wide . That's the point with the Budgets , theyre all under the same umbrella . Glad that you spewed them . Its th way forward .She did, just because she got so pissed off at O'Leary's attitude to what everyone else understands as travel agreements. As far as I remember Britain were apologetic but wanted to hand it over to Eire and Eire weren't interested. (We both have a pretty good experience in how travel claims work in theory and in real life.)
TBH mate, i travel with ryan air about 10 times a year. Going to Dublin an back. Their fine. As others have said, check in on line an only take a small bag on the plane with you. All their planes are very new and are ok. It's only a couple of hrs fight so go for it.
When you book just take out the prioraty boarding and insurance an it's cheaper again.
Have fun.
Plus Germany is an awsome place for beer an football. You'll have a great time.
