I'm thinking of going to Munich to watch Sporting for the CL match.

Ryanair has some cheap fees. Has anyone flown with Ryanair?

Do you recommend it?

I find many of the budget airlines are pretty much the same tbh.Just be careful with the amount of luggage you take as it can start to get exspensive.Have a good trip

You get treated like cattle, i didnt enjoy the experience one bit. Then theres the charges just to check in and check a bag in etc makes it more expensive than at first glance

tbh, if you get a budget flight then dont expect business class. the way i see it is i've paid that small an amount each time that i cant really complain, getting 5 of us to spain for 400-500 quid is a bargain and i'm prepared to put up with the queue's etc. tbh

I think I flew to 1 of the aways in Europe last season with Ryannair, just a standard cheap flight really, nothing special, got to pay for any booze & that. For a flight to Germany I wouldn't have any worries about going with them

86€ to go from Oporto to Frankfurt and back.

300 kms from Lisbon to Oporto, by car and in Germany already booked a car for the 400 kms between Frankfurt and Munich.

I've been checking for flights in Ryanair and it seems they have flights between Oporto and Liverpool.... seems I'll be watching an Everton match sooner than I thought. b)

We actually have a Michael O'Leary "tax" where we would rather pay up to €50 more than give money to that ponce.

(My girlfriend worked in the travel industry, so knows travel legalities pretty well, and still was threatened with being left in the UK when Ryanair cancelled a flight without notice, did nothing for the stranded passengers, rebooked her the next day to a city hundreds of kilometers away, told her to "claim on her insurance" and she had the audacity to complain.)

Unfortunately sometimes that's all you get as an option, however. And, if you realise that all you are paying is next to nothing and you'll get equivalent service then you can just about grit your teeth and bear it.

Try skyscanner.net though for possible alternatives. I ended up flying on Lufthansa coming back from the last trip to Goodison and it was a dream.

You do , of course realise , that there are Regulatory Bodies to which you can go with just this sort of complaint ?? Theyll have a sliding scale of re-dress , ie, compo , but theyre there all right . Id do it on principle . ( I used to be a Claims Manager though . )

She did, just because she got so pissed off at O'Leary's attitude to what everyone else understands as travel agreements. As far as I remember Britain were apologetic but wanted to hand it over to Eire and Eire weren't interested. (We both have a pretty good experience in how travel claims work in theory and in real life.)

OK lad .No worries , but I thought the regulations were Euro-Wide . That's the point with the Budgets , theyre all under the same umbrella . Glad that you spewed them . Its th way forward .

Funnily enough, I was on their website today.

Liverpool to Belfast 1st April Until 8th costs 2p, return, including tax.

My mate booked it and went through fine, no add ones. (Unless you dont pay by visa electron, if not, its an extra £9.

There grand if all you want is a bus in the air!

If your going for a weekend just bring your bag on the plane with you, and check in online, the only thing is the Visa extra charge which is a tenner!

Still some decent value!

TBH mate, i travel with ryan air about 10 times a year. Going to Dublin an back. Their fine. As others have said, check in on line an only take a small bag on the plane with you. All their planes are very new and are ok. It's only a couple of hrs fight so go for it.

When you book just take out the prioraty boarding and insurance an it's cheaper again.

Have fun.

Plus Germany is an awsome place for beer an football. You'll have a great time.

It'll be on my birth day. I'll spend my birthday at the Alianz Arena... Me and two pals... two fuc kin' crazy pals...:lol:

The original fee was 46€ but with all the add ons it came out as much as 86€, both ways.

I just need the match ticket... If I don't get it...well, I'll go for the beer. (y)
