Everton’s injury problems show no signs of abating with Louis Saha unlikely to feature at home to West Brom in the Barclays Premier League tomorrow.
The striker made a substitute appearance – his first for three months after hamstring trouble – at Newcastle last weekend but is now struggling with a thigh problem.
His fellow forward Victor Anichebe (knee) will be out for at least three weeks, while Mikel Arteta has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a ruptured cruciate.
Jack Rodwell has not trained all week after also sustaining an injury at St James’ Park. However, midfielder Tim Cahill and right-back Tony Hibbert return after suspension.
Provisional squad: Howard, Jagielka, Lescott, Yobo, Baines, Hibbert, Gosling, Van der Meyde, Neville, Fellaini, Osman, Cahill, Jo, Saha, Nash, Castillo, Jacobsen.

Jack Rodwell is a doubt for Everton's clash with West Bromwich Albion.
David Moyes revealed the youngster picked up a nasty knock during the clash with Newcastle United last weekend - and despite finishing the game, may not make the starting XI on Saturday.
The Blues boss also explained that Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar and Louis Saha will all have to fight hard if they are to be fit for the clash with the Baggies.
Osman and Pienaar have both been on the sidelines for a number of weeks after picking up stomach and hamstring strains respectively.
Louis Saha has a slight thigh strain but could be okay to face Tony Mowbray's side.
"One player who is struggling to make it is Jack Rodwell," the Goodison chief told the media at his weekly press conference. "He had a horrendous tackle on him at the weekend. He hasn't trained all week and may not make the game.
"The other three are going to have to fight very hard to make it. Louis Saha has a slight thigh strain."
Moyes has better news surrounding Marouane Fellaini, who is fit to face the bottom of the league side after coming through last weekend's trip to Tyneside unscathed.
"Marouane Fellaini is fit, he is back in contention," added Moyes.
Meanwhile, influential Australian Tim Cahill and right-back Tony Hibbert are available for the Blues boss.
Both return from one match suspensions after picking up five yellow cards this season.
