Sam Allardyce has said that the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle was hard to take, “they are on a great run and they beat Arsenal last time out and we can’t compete with Arsenal”.

When asked about the whole crowds boo’s and Chants Allardyce dismisses them, “The Newcastle fans always give me Banter it’s nothing new”

Why the f was he ever given 18 months anyway? Why didn't we just give him until the end of the season like most normal clubs do when they need a lifeboat manager?
I think we offered him 6 months which he refused then had to go back cap in hand for 18 months. Due to all the nonsense with Silva we were desperate and had no choice.

In the end this supposed article will probably end up as a damp squib as these things usually do.
However there is a good chance that the person who will be damaged most is Unsworth ,there have been persistent rumours that he and a clique of others have become an overpowerful, malign and disruptive influence within the club.
Possibly caused by Moshiris lack of leadership.
It could be interesting.

Rhino is to blame? Now I have heard it all :coffee:

I think Usmanov giving his shares to his kids still means he has links close enough to Arsenal to stop him doing anything here. Might be wrong mind. Hope so.
Pretty much what people have said on there. Then he uses the old "giving my niece a car" analogy....

I am convinced he is leaving, if this King story is true.

1. If he is genuinely unsure of the clubs intentions for next season and wants to stay, mouthing off is hardly going to help his case.
2. If he has already received assurances that he is staying, a media piece like this just isn't necessary in the first place.

Though with a big payoff, I'm still surprised to see him go on the attack like this if true. It might be the last time it has happened to him, but certainly isn't the first, and in circumstances largely created by himself. He should just take the cash and run.

Depends how important his 'legacy' (:)) as a management messiah is to him. Painting himself as a new employee, shocked by the scale of shambles around him (yet who still managed, against almost insurmountable odds, to 'succeed', will help perpetuate his own myth.
