He had about 3 maybe 4 decent games for us where he looked like he could be boss, rest of the games he was gash apart from the odd nice touch or bit of control which made me think he still had it. unfortunately overall was a total waste of time and money by the Muppet Bert in signing him but was always gonna be a long shot that it was going to be a successful., Embarrassing in the end that he couldn't even see out a 12 month contract.

Now GTF Eto'o.

How do you feel about the fact you got a 3 and 1/2 year deal Samuel?

Look I'll be off again in 12 months

Eto'o signed for Inter Milan on a 5 year contract only lasted 3 years

Eto'o signed for Anzhi Makhachkala on a three-year contract only lasted 2 years

Eto'o signed for Everton on a two-year contract only lasted 5 months

I'll miss the old codger.
Past his best but still a trick or two in his boots.

If I wasn't a Blue then, given the chance, I'd probably rather play footie somewhere warm near my family, rather than in the wind and rain
coming in from the Irish Sea.

Agree, it's better to have loved and lost, than never have loved at all

Dear Toffees,
I've been blessed to spend these past few months with you.
To my pleasure, I have discovered here a crowd of warm, passionate, affectionate and supportive fans... It's time for me to leave, but wherever I go, I will bring with me all the memories we've built together.

A special "Thank You" to the Everton staff who helped me settle down and of course to our manager Roberto, who made all of that possible.
It was an honour to be part of your army.

You will always be in my heart.

Yours Sincerely,

You leaving mate?

Either way we missed an opportunity to have a chant for a player that rhymed with Elvis Presley's "The Ghetto".

Meh.....

err, excuse me mister...

probably a bit before your time this one chuck, but it's to the tune of In The Ghetto by Elvis

As the snow flies
On a cold and gray Chicago mornin'
A poor little baby child is born
Samuel Eto'o

And his mama cries
Cause if there's one thing that she don't need
It's another hungry mouth to feed
Samuel Eto'o

People, don't you understand
The child needs a helping hand
Or he'll grow to be an angry young man some day
Take a look at you and me,
Are we too blind to see,
Do we simply turn our heads
And look the other way
Well the world turns
And a hungry little boy with a runny nose
Plays in the street as the cold wind blows
Samuel Eto'o
