Anyone else still there? My last day tommorrow and will probably be gutted to leave behind some brilliant mates and some boss teachers who taught in their own unique way by having a laugh with us etc.

When does everyone else finish? and whats college like etc?

Wow, someone that actually realises that school is great BEFORE they have left, amazing.

If I could go back to school with a click of my fingers I would.

Good times, followed by more good times albeit with jobs and bills ruining the fun.

I hated YR7, YR8 and quite abit of YR9 because the teachers boss you around to much and you move from sets to sets very easily.

Once you pick your subjects and options you are in that set for two full years and grow close to people like Science i have had that every single day for two years and the teacher is still fairly young so interacts with us better having a laugh whilst obviously still learning and then you get to know the people in your class without then going away for the summer and coming back to a whole new system again.

Teachers won't dish out dententions or other punishments they just drill into you that its your decision if you fail to prepare then prepare to fail, there not bothered if you don't hand work in but they constantly remind you it will reflect in your exams and they get a bigger response of work done through methods like that.

I also had some snotty form tutor who gave our tutor group a very hard time but we then got someone new in YR9 and she is lovley the whole group loves her and she looks out for us all, if your upset she'll sit with you and take you out of lessons to sit with her and make sure your ok and then shes the only Food Tech teacher so at dinner quite alot of times she'll make a big dinner thing for the form all free of charge and just overall a lovley person.

Think going abroad with the school quite abit and the year group is one big clique even though some people won't find each other their ideal piece of company everyone gets along, shows in stuff like a fancy dress party in school the day after Halloween last year for charity and alot of other stuff just builds everyone close and i think the school is great for that, don't find much bullying or anything.

It's gone so quick and i don't want it to end now, obviously there will be the few lessons i wouldn't mind getting rid off but i hate the fact other schools in the area have their own college and they all go to that, there is only one college in the surrounding area of where i live then the second nearest one is Carmel in St.Helens.

Carmel is good but with one college in the whole area and its quite bad then everyone applies and its a slim chance of getting in.

I liked school, mostly. I'm in lower 6th now currently suffering AS Levels. It's good fun though. Just the same as school except you only do subjects that are good, plus we get free periods. Which is always nice :) Nothing like spending a good free dossing I mean working with yer mates :P

Our school is a bit strict/anal about some things which I have learnt down the years  But it's generally decent. My form tutor, who has been with us since Y7 is really cool. Not strict at all and is always up for a laugh. And he hates PSME so never used to make us do the somewhat pointless 'work'.

Just got to start thinking about Unis now....

Not helped by the fact that I have no idea where to go or what to study

Its the same with college i'm tied between two where one has said i'm accepted and the other i have to go their on results day, doesn't help with the fact the careers 'advisor' goes against everything you want to do and tells you its completley pointless and to study something else and nearly putting me in for a btech in Graphics because she thinks its better, she totally messed my head up on all that because i am now confused as to what i want to do and if i am picking the right level.

haha, careers advisors. We have one of them. Someone I know wants to be a chef, she went to him asking for info about it. He then decided that she was too intelligent to be a chef and gave her a load of stuff about hotel management

Just do what you want to do, no point doing what someone else thinks you should if yer not going to enjoy it

So today has gone and i've finally finished my high school career.

It was an emotional day but also amazing at the same time, teachers telling you stuff and bursting into tears themselves.

Walking into form and a big suprise of our tutors, had to laugh at the 'road to athens' hats for all the Kopites.

Got my shirt signed and as per usual 'Liverpool 4 life' 'LFC RULE' i had the pleasure of putting AC Milan on the back of every single one of them.

School was [Poor language removed] brilliant, i still miss it now.

College is alright like, its good for breaks and can go to town with mates but pretty [Poor language removed].

We break up on 16th june.

You're making us older ones feel real old, I left school over 18 years ago!!! I hated school, hated the teachers, only reason for going was to get the grades to leave and do something I really wanted to do, well that and play football!

It's weird in NZ, football (or soccer as it has been called up until last month) is played by all the posh schools, and rugby is normally played (has the best teams anyway) in the other schools.

My advice to all you lot is when it's time to have your gap year, and then go to uni, make the most of it - THAT will be the best part of your educational years - IMHO.

Good luck to you all!

Well said, I endorse that completely. Any of you looking for Uni's and live outside Liverpool then come on courses here, even Edge Hill Uni (they do teacher training) is with in 10 miles of GP.(y)
