Hope it never happens , we’re both based in scotland and should continue to play there and instead look at ways to improve the game up here. However I really don’t understand the arrogance of most English fans when they dismiss them as “ championship level “ at best . That’s a ridiculous statement . Kills me to say it but Rangers got to a European final last year ,which suggests better than championship level . If we both got into the EPL , we would both have to significantly increase our stadiums . Both have waiting lists in excess of 10k,which would probably increase at the prospect of playing England’s top teams . So I think you’d be talking both having stadiums in excess of 70k. They would both receive and generate far more income than at present and would therefore be sold to attract a better class of player . That’s not to say the current squads wouldn’t hold their own…. I think they would . Also I think teams like Hearts Hibs and Aberdeen would prosper down south and would attract bigger crowds and sponsorship and could survive in the EPL . If the Brentford Palace Fulham Brighton etc can survive then those 3 could also
It's entirely within the gift of the old firm to help raise the standard of football in the country.

When I started going to the game in the late 80s the league was exciting and competitive despite the differences between the clubs in terms of the level of support. At Pittodrie in those days we could get gates around 16 - 18k with bigger games selling out. That obviously pales in comparison with either Rangers or Celtic but it was enough until new money flowed into the game and the financial gulf kept growing and growing. Some dodgy accounting may or may not have contributed to that.

Nothing will change until the clubs start looking at the collective good instead of keeping the shareholders happy.

Couldn’t agree more . Unfortunately there are too many self serving chairmen in Scottish football at the minute . First thing should be an extended league to 18 clubs . Pricing as well should be looked at . I go home and away and the prices at most clubs are ridiculous … mine included . Price money should be more evenly distributed , especially further down the leagues .

I know what you mean mate but it's supply and demand, if folk are paying those prices at the old irm then they'll continue charging them, but agreed there should be more done to attract supporters to smaller clubs, I live in the Falkirk area and it's criminal the amount of buses leave this area to watch the old firm.

Not hard.
