I know this conversation started a long time ago but I have to say something about Scottish football.Being from Edinburgh I can only say Scottish football is crap I personally do not watch any games up here I have to say when souness came up here all those years ago and started buying everyone no youngster got a chance to break in to the first team. And still today it is still happening the only 2 really quality players are Robertson and teriney . I watch the English league because it's much better and there's no deep fried mars bars
You can still support your local team.
But.
You are not alone in ignoring what's on your doorstep.
Plenty of folk in my place 'support ',English teams only.

First of all mate any input on here is welcome regardless, however I have not tried deep fried mars bar but I do find the deep fried steak pie something of a delicacy.

Thats one thing that annoys me about supporting your local team, or lack of it, up here when supporting a lower league team is when you go to the Queen's Park away games into towns like Elgin, Arbroath, Montrose etc, you always seem to find that the people in the town are all walking around in Celtic or Rangers shirts and you would never see them at the game. Ok i know everybody in these towns are not like that and you do get the local support, but if people you see in the shirts dont go to the Rangers or Celtic games, why cant they go and give support to their local team instead of ignoring them, as you do get good games in the lower leagues, plus im sure the entrance money would be a big help to the clubs if these people actually went, given the lack of money in Scottish football.

Probably more Dundee fans in Arbroath than Arbroath fans.
But you're right.
Even here in Aberdeen you see plenty of old firm gear, but the full set....hat scarfs trackies and trainers.

Since you said you're in Aberdeen, dont know if youre an Aberdeen supporter, but if so what do you think of Derek McInnes as a manager as apparently theres talk of him maybe coming to Queen's Park, since Ray McKinnon has now left the club and on the lookout for a new manager. Also talk of Alan Stubbs coming in with the Hibs connection with Leeann Dempster, but dont know if would want him, as saw a stat saying in Stubbs' last 24 games as a manager he only won 3, drew 6 and lost the rest.

Mcinnes to the spiders?
Hope they have deep pockets.
I'm glad deek has gone.
But the jury is out on his successors.
Stubbs?
Worth a go.
Older ,wiser.
Don't think I've ever seen Queens Park.
Hopefully once lesser is complete.

Its just speculation I presume re Mcinnes and doubt he'd come down to a League 1 team, but they want somebody who can consolidate in League 1 for a year and then try get into the Championship. Stubbs I think is the favourite with the Hibs/Dempster connection and knowing how each other work, so be interesting to see how does if gets the job. Since voting to turn professional at the end of 2019 and then going full time this season, with the sale of Hampden, with the money going towards the new stadium at Lesser, and having Willie Haughey as benefactor for the next 10 years we're in a good financial position. Dont ask me when Lesser be completed as they made a right botch up job with the contractors and have hardly done any work on it so defo wont be ready for the new season and will be playing elsewhere for home games. You should defo come down to a game or see them if theyre playing somewhere up your way, maybe Cove Rangers next year if they dont get promoted in the play-offs. You'll be surprised by them

Yes .
Definitely go to see them at Cove.
Although I was hoping Cove might've won the play off,but maybe too much too soon.
