What good did sacking Benitez do other than appease the "super blues" who snarl at anything red (or ginger) ? Where is the progression on or off the field since his dismissal ?

The only thing its led to is his & Lampards pay off meaning we broke FFP.

Not saying he didn't deserve to be dismissed based on his run, however when contributors speak as if sacking the man was a day that changed the clubs fortunes, it is simply factually incorrect.

We've gone backwards since his dismissal and the statistics show that.

So what was the point of our jaunt to Portugal then? It’s not like our team is full of internationals. The performance today was as poor as the ones that preceded the international break. He’s had plenty of time to prepare the majority of the team for todays game. Excuses like he hasn’t had time, shows me he’s clutching at straws.

Can’t believe the arguments in here.
Who was worse? Who cares? It’s like a dead heat in a nobly knees competition.
We are where we are. Dyche is our manager, there is no one else mad enough to take the job right now, and we can’t afford them even if there were. And they’d have to be better than Dyche., and whilst many of you think he’s dire, there’s way worse out there too.

So we are stuck with our ginger prince (well, toad, but never mind) because it’s all we’ve got and all we’re going to get.
