2023/24 Sean Dyche

Everton manager Sean Dyche started his news conference by assessing the impact of Dominic Calvert-Lewin's penalty in Tuesday's draw at Newcastle, which ended his run of 23 games without scoring: "We had been talking about what kind of goal gets you going again? On this occasion it is a penalty. We hope that is the catalyst that takes all that noise away and changes the storyline.

"Strikers just want to score goals. Beto has got a couple and now Dom has got one. That's a good sign and I think both of them worked very hard the other night - they played hard, worked hard and both looked sharp in their different ways.

"I am very pleased for Dom, I thought he put in a real good shift when he came on. Obviously the penalty helps but I thought he was brave to take it as well. It's not easy when you have not been scoring and there is a bit of noise around you like there has been since I have been here, and he did well to put it in."

Beto with a couple and Dom with one is a Good Sign, yes Dyche with 8 games to go its good for our Striker to get off the mark and for the other to have at least a couple.

noise, Noise, Noise, Noise

Koff you ginger bellend

yes it all been very wrong since you have been here.

His work should be judged on 32points, but doesn't change the fact we are without a win in 13 prem games.
He's not the only manager whose approach amounts to flogging the players hard until they can't give any more, and then accepting that the rest of the season is basically a write-off (O'Neill was the same at Villa). On that basis, you could argue that it probably would have been enough to crawl over the line if another six points were added to the total, assuming you want to be charitable and not put the four-game winning streak down to a siege mentality caused by the deduction. I expect he'd call that proof of concept.

The bottom of the table is so poor, I still think we'll survive in spite of him. What's concerning is the prospect of a manager who's no longer fit for purpose at this level getting another season to essentially ride his/our luck.

I can only hope that whoever agreed to offer him 2.5 years is no longer in a position to make decisions.

Conveniently ignoring the fact that under Dyche, the team staved off relegation last season.

Conveniently ignoring the fact that Dyche had absolutely no role to play with regard to the points deduction this season. The on-pitch performances this season has brought us a total of 32 points, a comfortably safe position which has been crippled by the points deduction.

So you are the one who needs a reality check, and to Koff!!!

So, you're saying that Seanie has done a sterling job and that 32 points and no win in 13 is just so damn good.

OK then.

Watching Dyche's press conferences can be a great drinking game. Shot glass and a bottle. Everytime he says noise, take a shot. Even add in each time he touches his nose aswel

I wish he would fart during one of his press conferences, change things up a bit or flick a bogey at the camera

The overwhelming majority voted for survive relegation as the season objective this season in our annual survey.

Without the 6 points deducted through no fault of his, we'd be 10 points clear with a game in hand on Luton, who have 7 games to go.

Playing 4 months of the season with that 10 point deduction too - its zapped the fanbase, I'm sure it has for the team too. Even now, we can't deny the second charge is like a weight over us.

Still, not many managers survive 13 games without a win.

Absolutely has to get a win against Burnley otherwise panic stations and you look to find someone who can remind them how to win a game before these;

If you told me at the start of the season that we'd have a chance of surviving relegation WITH 2 pts deductions id have taken it no matter what.
