It’s funny listening to the West Ham fans moaning about Moyes limitations and thinking how much Dyche reminds me of him.

Essentially, can set up a team to be solid, hard to beat and hit on the counter attack, classic kitap1. When the opposition set up the same way, let them have the ball and sit back and the onus is on a Moyes/Dyche team to break down the opponent - they have no clue.

That’s why neither of them will ever coach a top team- functional, organised, hard to beat, football that suits the underdogs. That’s where they’re at as managers, their comfort zone, which is fine for us at the moment because that’s pretty much where we’re at.
In fairness you could've said the same about us under Carlo too.

Moyes coached Everton United and West Ham and Dyche is coaching Everton. They’re both better than the majority of football managers in the world. Yes they’re not in the 1% bracket of you Peps Joses and Carlos but if they were no better than setting up a team to be hard to beat then they’d be playing their trade in the lower leagues with Phil Parkinson et al yelling ‘get stuck into them’ as their main a managerial approach.

Moyes’ best Everton teams played some brilliant football at times that could absolutely wipe the floor with premier league teams. He’ll also go down in history as a trophy winning West Ham manager something that Zola, Abram Grant. Bilic Pellegrini didnt achieve after being hired for their perceived attractive football.

One of the issues moyes and West ham have now is, they actually have some good technical players and not enough work horses that moyes needs to suit his system.

They need a different manager if they want to get the best out of the players they have.

Biggest issue is Antonio, he really is dog turd

Moyes is unlikely to get a new contract at the end of the season by all accounts.

That’s pretty much what all the Wham fans are saying. You look at the players he has Kudus, Bowen, Paqueta - good footballers, technical players and he doesn’t know how to set them up to get the best out of them now they’re not in the underdog every week. Still relying on the old trusted direct ball to a big forward to hold the ball up and hoping the ballers make something happen from nothing…and Antonio is finished.

Apologies to Dyche, please form an orderly queue please lads.

Said it time and again. Dyche is boss. Easily mid table this season even with -12 points at some point.

All those doubters, feel free to apologise to the great ginger manager here.

Leaving style of play to one side, Moyes and Dyche are good at what they do and that’s why they’re not down in the lower leagues with Phil Parkinson.

Moyes was great for Everton and we played some good football under him at times. Pienaar, Baines were a joy, for example. That can all be true as well as saying he is a defensively minded coach and is more comfortable setting up his team to be solid and stop the opposition, as is Dyche.

Dyche has certainly put to bed the argument that he doesn't use young players.
Yesterday we had Patterson, Branthwaite , Mykolenko , Onana, Garner and McNeill all playing.

I think you players may look at us and think they can get a chance if they come here.

I get the feeling that him and the DoF have a good working relationship as the team looks far stronger, fitter, determined and solid than previous seasons.
We’ve got a team that doesn’t wilt under the slightest pressure. The difference with Garner, Doucoure and Onana in midfield compared to the walking over 70’s football team of Allan, Gomes, Siggi - all so slow.

We’re not getting bullied out of games with this team Tarks, Branthwaite, Onana, Doucoure, DCL - they’re all huge physical and players. It’s a big difference to the last few seasons. Not going to dominate the ball every game but we can stay in games and as we saw yesterday, that’s giving us a chance at some wins.
