2024/25 Sean Dyche

I'm more and more convinced that the problem is exactly that mate. He works them so hard on the physical drills that they leave a fair amount of their fitness on the training ground. For all this 'Dyche fit' nonsense, we are always blowing out of our arses by the 70th minute. In my opinion this is a combination of over training, spending far too much of the game chasing shadows with no real possession and Dyche's reluctance to use substitutes.

I think that if we are not looking like being in the relegation shakeup when the take over is ratified, he should see out his contract, but, under no circumstances should it be extended. If, on the other hand, we are in the relegation mix, the Friedkin's first move should be to replace him.

Why we voted for 5 subs as well?

We've got nowhere near the depth of most of the league.

Turkeys voting for Christmas.

I have said countless times in the past that much of our running during games is wasted running and just tires the players out for no reason. Folk used to always go on about Klopp and the RS on the juice but if you ever actually watched them many of the players used to walk about at times during games and it was controlled running and they knew when to go all out and when not too. It's headless chicken stuff with us most of the time.

Well you can ask that to anyone who wants us to finish 17th (if you can find them). That’s not me though, I’ve said multiple times I think we can exceed last season’s points total and Dyche will leave us as a mid table club.

Haha yeah just casually acting like I didn’t show you about 15 posts yesterday from people saying they’d take 17th and when I sent them you went quiet

It`s also a sure fire way of inducing muscle injuries too.

Half of them are from people who hate Dyche, the rest were from about 3 other people combined.

Also when I responded with you completely misinterpreting the context of the posts you went quiet.

Either way, considering you’re on such a crusade about the drop in expectations linked to the manager for a handful of people on an internet forum why don’t you go and ask them rather than me

Luckiest man in football. That Bournemouth debacle alone would have had him sacked at any other club!

Come on Mr Friedkin. Get this dinosaur gone now!

Given some of distsrious results already, the current fixtures after break are not easy under Dyche football.
Then fixtures in December upto boxing day. We could have a nice present...

He's not.

But I have some sympathy - we have the slowest team in the league.

He come in, kept us up, achieved 48 points last season in desperate circumstances. All while making profit in the transfers.

Sure, critique but lets be fair.

The team needs some big investment. I'm hoping we stay out the bottom 3 come Jan, and then in a position to bring some pace/ability in the final third in.
None of us know TFG group thinking on this. We do know they won't be able to spends huge sums on players because of PSR but I don't think that was ever going to happen anyway.

So, I am sure there will be team strengthening but it will be moderate, the improvement will be more incremental than dramatic.

People seem to assume that Dyche is almost automatically gone when the club changes owners but this is far from certain.

I think KT will have a big influence of who the manager is and again none of us know really what the relationship between Dyche and KT is.

No I didn’t at all, I responded directly to that comment?

Why does it matter if they hate Dyche or not? You’re adding your own context that isn’t even relevant now.

I think it is a very real question.
The assumption that Dyche is almost automatically gone when the owners change is based on wishful thinking more than any real evidence.
Tbh mate, if they were serious about keeping him, they'd almost certainly have extended his contract. That they haven't, tells me they want their own man, which is fair enough. Probably best all round that we start with a clean slate going into BMD.

Because you’ve been trying to make out that supporters of Dyche have lowered their expectations to avoid criticising him. If it’s the opponents of Dyche who have lowered their expectations then maybe you should be asking them.
