That's all of our hopes, obviously, but the longer it goes without that happening the less "hope" sensible people have. We shouldn't be hoping and praying we should be making changes. Ideally sooner rather than later.

When you post the full table it doesn't read great. You have only 17 teams that have played 37/38 games. Only two of those teams are below us this season (Palace and Wolves). We have the 3rd worst GD of those 17 teams, behind only Wolves and West Ham. We have scored the least of those 17 teams.

2 game samples are fine, 4 game samples are fine, an arbitrary mid season sample of 15 games is definitive, 38 games though…well when you look at the details it’s just not a reliable sample.

What matters is the teams you're currently playing. That table includes 3 teams that aren't in the league anymore and we can't pick up points against.

As many people have pointed out that 38 game spell was arbitrarily selected, there are 6 teams in the table that have played 28 games or less and points from the 23/24 season don't carry forward to the 24/25 season. Other than all of that, though, you make a good point.
