I wish he wouldve made changes at halftime. Theyre a man down, throw Beto on right away. Try to hit them hard and use our advantage, but insted we just did the same thing as we did before they had a man sent off.
It was more how we played than personel changes. We needed much more than just making subs

We needed to push up 10 yards. We needed to commit more men into the box and we needed to move the ball quickly. We needed to create 2 v 1s to use the extra man.

We did none of that. We just hoofed it.

Ye it's a difficult one to argue because I can come back and argue that there were switches with Ndiaye being put in the 10, him and McNeil swapping sides, and going with 442, but everyone else can just say it didn't work because of bad coaching.
442 with not an ounce of preparation, yeah genius. Just aimlessly smash the ball in to the box and hope, don’t use the extra man you have to pull them out of position… this is all basic stuff, I’d be amazed if Dyche could pass his coaching licences in 2024.

All we did was give it a go!
We gave it a go in the sense that we had the ball more and moved in the direction of their goal but it was tired, boring play that was easy to defend. It's quite clear that Dyche has no idea how to train or implement an attacking style of play or any patterns of play in an attacking fashion because we are completely devoid of any ideas when we get within 30 yards of the goal. It's depressing and shocking at premier league level.

It also depresses me that the one player in our team that shows urgency in wanting to attack and win the game is our goalkeeper. That's abysmal.

Both can be true. If the manager makes the sub at half time and makes it clear to the player that he wants us to go for it, maybe they wouldve pushed higher up, but im guessing the team talk was more along the lines of "remember, theyre still dangerous with 10 men, so be careful!". Not a great attitude to have, if thats indeed whats going on.

Wait I didn't realise the argument from fans all week was 'play Ndiaye in the 10, unless it's congested'. Seems to be an extra branch on the 'manager shouldve done everything he didn't do' tree.
