2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I still have a sneaky suspicion that TFG already have their Manager sorted out and will make the change not long after they are in. They have been doing a lot in the background and the man they want to lead their new club forward is bound to have been high in their list of priorities. I definitely cannot see them giving Dyche the January window, that is assuming of course they have completed before then.
You're right. New manager and a few decent players in January.
Meanwhile Dyche carries on keeping us just above the line. He can't do any more with this bunch. No one could.

It’s not just him, if people didn’t placate him then he had no presence. People did placate him, many did, some Evertonians even applauded him in response to a protest back in 2012.

Horrible day in our history that. Those applauding showed an acceptance for our demise. So many of us online at the time could see what was coming, but too many were blinded by a very good press operation which was carried out perfectly by the chairman.

All the top journalists fell for every line. No coincidence that the biggest local hack at the time now finds himself in a cushty job with the club. While they should have been asking questions, they were too concerned looking after themselves.

It’s not easy. Not really fair to call people that. It’s a club they love and want to support, but they have no control over what actually happens.
Im the same mate im a season ticket holder, i love going the game not just for the game but the before and after.

It has to be enjoyable or at least have a little hope, now its just kin grim before a ball is kicked.

I wont enter the ground again until hes gone, thats my personnel protest, he is not getting my time money and energy.

Couldn't disagree more. See out the game v Bournemouth with the appropriate subs, beat the worst team in the league, beat a team with ten men and the worst away record in the league, that's 8 more points that a competent manager who can coach some attacking patterns and manage the changing situation of a football match acceptably would've got us. Then instead of being just above the line we're talking about an outside shot of Europe.

Looks like the press are starting to sit up and take notice too.

A lot of barbs coming his way from various match reports.

Even the Red Echo leading with “ Sleep Walking into a Crisis
Just the title though mate, the echo are so far up Dyches arse they could tell you what curry he had last week.

They're all singing from the "be careful what you wish for" hymn sheet in that rag and will suck up to Dyche at every given opportunity.

Oh ok, so me saying “any manager wouldn’t take £5m a year” is exactly the same as me saying “give any manager the job”

You’re swinging and missing here mate

You cry about having standards and then;

And not one person is saying we should go after some world class manager.

We’re paying Sean Dyche £5m a year, you actually think that any manager wouldn’t take that

... We'll see who misses in time.

Again. Everton don't hire any worthwhile manager until ownership is resolved.

As a supporter, the best you can hope is that whatever standard or vision you want out of the club is close to what the owner wants. Right now, they couldn’t be more universally opposite.

I agree with you except for saying they fell for every line. I don’t think they did and were aware of what was going on, which makes it worse. Fans even went to the Echo offices asking what was going on and why the lack of scrutiny.
