2024/25 Sean Dyche

I think it's quite clear I said that they have shown ability. They have ability. That's a fact.

I didn't say they consistently show it.
I didn't say they have ever done it in large patches for us.

But they do have ability and they're so far off it's horrendous now.
They don't have enough ability. They're not worthy of the shirt.

A new man will hopefully get a few more points out of them, but they are not up to the task ahead in the medium term, let along long term. Purge needs to start in a month.

Dyche showed last season he has no way of getting the team out of a rut of bad results. He’ll be that worried about wolves that we’ll set up with 10 men behind the ball and aimlessly lumping it up to Beto or Calvert-Lewin.
He’ll totally ignore the chaos that Evanilson caused Wolves yesterday by running at them and winning 3 penalties. Any sensible manager would want Ndiaye running at their centre backs for 90 minutes given what happened to them yesterday.
he will be too worried about conceding to bother having a go at wolves, the man is stubborn and tactically inept.

Dyche doesn’t even set us up to get ndiaye on the ball as much as possible even when he’s stuck out on the wing so McNeil can stick the gaff out at number 10, its pathetic.

Any halfwit would be trying to get illy involved as much as possible, but hes wasted in our team trying to make things for himself or being asked to track back and chase shadows.

Imagine being a forward player in this team under Dyche….

Well he was the reason they went down like 1000’s of Burnley Fans will tell you that . You tried to pin the Norwich defeat on the man who took over from him, when it was the game that got dyche sacked, which a few pointed this out to you, but you didn’t reply. It’s quite important to get your facts correct or you will be quickly shot down

Well the fact is, they didn't get relegated with Sean Dyche as manager.

If Dyche lost that game, that's certainly on Dyche not the new guy, happy to be corrected on that.

I'll be honest mate, I haven't read those replies, but if I've been corrected then thanks for doing so.

To circle back, I think we are in a really tough spot, drawing and narrowly losing games is one thing, but collapsing is another. That's a big worry.

I'm not sure we can appoint a full time manager until TFG come in. The question then becomes, who do you think has a better chance in the next two home games?

Dunno about mad, that sounds like a decent, meaningful change we could make that might help our situation.

Hoping the TFG boys have got things already in motion as we need them to hit the ground running big time.

That's mate.

It's not ideal, but we are not dealing in an ideal, normal scenario.

I wouldn't want Baines/Coleman who a prolonged period. But for 2 home games in 4 days, that might just work to turn the mood of the squad and the fans around.

Like I said before I would be ignoring his instructions if there is any! I’d be doing what I see right on the pitch.

He is making every player look below bog standard

I didn't blame him for Burnley's relegation. Their owners sold all their decent players and didn't replace them, making it inevitable they'd be relegated. However he was the manager for most of the season so it's fair to say he was in charge for most of the time and it's on his record.

They weren't relegated with him in charge though. He would say, he would have kept them up. We will never know.

I'm all for holding people accountable for what they do, but he didn't take them down. That's just a point of order.

That can also be true, alongside you saying he left them in a precarious position.

Well you can, because I’ve never defended dyche at all costs. I’ve defended him from what I’ve seen as unfair criticism, but always been quite clear that I’m not actually a massive fan of him and that he’s sailing close to the wind. I don’t think he’s the biggest problem at the club and I don’t think we’ll suddenly improve loads if he goes, but there’s no denying a sacking would justified at the moment.

That's kind of where I think I'm arriving at.

It's not all his fault at all, and in a lot of ways I think he would be unfortunate. But we are not here for the benefit of Sean Dyche, we have to do a what's right for Everton.

I wonder where the 3 wise gammons will end up next after the imminent sacking. I’ll guess Stoke. Or maybe their spiritual home of AFC Wimbledon.
Not even that. They’ll be on some hipster football podcast talking about what grand plans they had for free flowing, attacking football, if only they’d been allowed one more transfer window to bring in the last couple of players they needed.

Everyone has line. I'm still not 100% sure I'm there, but we imploded defensively against a poor team today. Like all the time we were playing badly and not conceding many is one thing. That's basically your best way of staying up. If you start conceding lots of goals, it's a different matter.

I also think look, TFG are going to bring their own person in. In as far as he has a chance to impress, he hasn't done that this season. So you are left with 2 maybe 3 games. For the home games, I think probably having Baines/Coleman gives us just as much chance.

With respect though, none of the above means he was manager of Burnley when they were relegated in 2022.

Its a technicality of who's name was officially the club manager on the last day of the season.
The fella won as many games in 8 he had than dyche did in the previous 30.
They got relegated because of sean dyche.
Im hoping we dont make the same mistake and give someone just 8 games to clear up his mess.
