2024/25 Sean Dyche

Maybe if the training was more passing the ball and less chasing shadows, the players wouldn’t have to run themselves into the ground.
Don't be silly mate we don't have professional footballers who are paid millions per year and expect them to be able to make 5 yard passes and then move into space.

You would think that the club would hire coaches to do stuff like that, oh...................................

Just listened to Dyche's presser.....very telling when he was talking about the fitness of players out injured....all were called by the 'friendly' names like Tarky, Jimmy, Seamie, Youngy, Jarrad.....the Patterson. Not Nath, Nathan or Patto....just Patterson. He wont be playing here again clearly.

I've resigned myself to the fact that Dyche is here solely to get us through the turbulent waters whilst the ownership and PSR issues are resolved and the the direct Dycheball is as good as its going to get until that time. Tomorrows starting line-up with Keane and Holgate will be another slap in the nads.

Carlo Ancelotti played them both, didnt he?

It’s not like he’s had all summer to prepare for the season.

We are writing off the first few games of the season again due to gross mismanagement.

Hoped to be not so downbeat about Everton again this season but Dyche and Thelwell have already sucked the life out of it.
It must be frustrating for everyone what this club has become with teams like Bournemouth and Fulham having a better squad available at first disregarding the manager. This is the moment it gets dangerous and you can lose competitivness with years going on.

Kev has a pretty hard job, he generated a profit of 80m in the last 3 years, which is pretty good, but yet we are skint.

Secondly he needs to get down this astronomical wage bill. We got down from 105 to 65m in the last 4 years, it's not including bonus fees, but this seams an acceptable value and probably something we could affort long term. My hope is that this will off long-term.

Dyche is another story....

For the amount Dyche goes on about players not premier league ready, I presume he means fitness wise, I don’t look at our team and think we are well fitter than any other team.
The fella chats absolute wham, cba listening to him talk rubbish.
14 players fit?

well you better start the ones you’ve bought
Matty for manager - way too much common sense there from you brother!
I'm assuming he means these are fit and what he will choose
Pickford
Holgate
Keane
O'Brien
Mykolenko
Harrison
Gueye
Tim
Mcneil
Doucoure
DCL

Then remaining players fit
Beto
Ndiaye
Lindstrom

Then he's not counting

Maupay
Armstrong
Virginia
Metcalfe
Dixon

Or maybe he was counting Beto, Maupay and Virginia as part of the 14 and thinks he's been a smart arse by saying Ndiaye and Lindstrom can't be classed as 1st team available as they're not PL ready.
Nailed it mate, he talks bollocks constantly. The bold section of your post is his entire modus operandi - it’s all he’s got.

Old, English, PL experience, past their best, injury prone, just not very good.

All-checked - hand the guy a new contract

Playing style would be exactly the same if he had 100mil
He’s not and we’re choosing to play like this

I literally never said it would change. I said we're knackered as a club due to finances and you've decided to make a different argument.

Gana was one of our better players last season but you saw him take the ball off the keeper and pass it directly to a Brighton player for their second. It's almost like the squad is technically crap and limitations are needed to get through the short term.

It's a thin and limited squad with a limited manager. Some cristism is overdone, but the ones about players picking and lack of forseight during games is righteous.

Tim was outstanding, and apart from the mistake Gana was solid enough to play, way better than Doucoure for instance.

The irony being that if James Garner was fit, he wouldn’t have seen a single minute on Saturday.

Lack of foresight, fair enough, there are certainly games where we need a change but a small amount of subs is something Pep does as well and their squad is basically playing a different sport than ours.

Players he can only pick what we've got and the ones who don't play are truly awful. Everyone becomes a world beater the less they play with our fanbase.

As for the new lads, only 14 debuts were made last weekend by sides still in the league from last season.

Only three clubs — Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers — fielded more than one new signing from the outset. More clubs — Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest — started with an entire side who were at the club in 2023-24.

Bleeding new players in is a common practice across the league but it's a sackable offence when Dyche does it.

When your two wingers contributed absolutely nothing last year, it was urgent we had some flair and creativity on the pitch

Even more so after 25 minutes when it was clear that the 40 yard hoof to Harrison wasn’t working.

McNeil was our leading assist and chance creator, Harrison has had a full pre-season and was already here last season.

His output was crap but the ball over the head of Hinshelwood was very clearly working first half.

But he’s picking players that have let us down time and time again,
When he had options, spouting on about prem experience, when our best player on the day was a 20yr old kid with hardly any prem experience at all

And if Pep went 4 months without a win and he kept picking the same players and the same style and making a Couple of subs late on. The city fans would be kicking off

He had 6 assists in 38 matches mate, and some of them were from set pieces. He was awful last season, absolutely atrocious

And it was clear the ball over the top to Harrison wasn’t working; because we had no overlapping fullback, Harrison consistently needed to cut back on his left foot and we had one shot on target
