Don’t know what Sean’s done to upset everyone yesterday?

A lot of hangovers in play and he’s Getting it from all angles.

What the actual is this? We can’t argue that he has had no investment in the team because of this.

I have read this 5 times and still not sure it’s trying to say. He finished 7th but he didn’t win more of the games?? Have you slept since Christmas dinner?
Not sure he upset anyone really. I certainly posted nothing yesterday. Woke up to you quoting a post from a couple of days ago at 5.47am this morning. It’s almost like you are wanting to start it all up again, but I’m sure that wouldn’t be the case.

Maybe read the first sentence five times as well then to gain context on what you can’t grasp, it quite clearly shows that this manager and the way he sets his teams up results in large stretches of the season going on long winless runs.

Please read the above in bold (not this bit as it’s not the bit above) more than five times.

Yes I have slept, thanks.

Agreed with you and @twoblue. Regardless of the difference of opinion, it does feel like a completely circular argument at times with no quarter given.

With each game, his tenure is closer to completion and so each round of debate feels a little more academic than the last (I’ll still get drawn in though 😄)
With you 100%.
Are you serious? Why on earth do you think there is going to be investment into the team on top of the stadium build, we were always going to have to grin and bare it for a couple of seasons sadly. It's not like we haven't spent anything at all is it, maybe they are not the ideal players that everyone would have liked but we have hardly just sold and bought nobody in. Tbh I'm more inclined to point the finger at Thelwell and the recruitment team as the little bit of money we have had I don't think has been spent well. Also like it or not (the dychettes generally don't) we are in 2024 now and convincing players to play in a dycheball type setup is not the easiest thing at times. Hopefully we see some sign of change in the summer.
Im just confused about how you think finances from the stadium have effected dyches job?

What me? Damn it… 😙🎶

With the exception of a few of you displaying satirical prowess, the rest of you are genuinely mentally unwell, lads.

It’s a good job there is absolutely no evidence that Sean can go on long winless streaks as a manager every season. Best to crow about how well he’s done so far with 3 wins already and 14 magnificent goals. The year that Burnley finished 7th he had a 10 game winless run… his best premier league season ever and he still had a run of 10 games without a win. Those sort of stats are behind him now as he’s adapted his tactics and in no way relies on luck, set pieces and a mom display from his goalkeeper

#thankyougaffer.

I know, but I have the same issue with other managers like Potter. Cannot really understand the hype that he gets. He certainly is more capable of implementing an appropriate idea of play than Dyche within 2 years, but also in every season at Brighton he had these winless runs.

With you 100%.

We have had no input from the owner in recent years, money has had to be raised to keep the club functioning from somewhere as we were building a stadium and paying the ridiculous interest payments on a variety of loans let alone before we start talking about just needing money to run the club at a basic level. That means we were never going to strengthen in the way we hoped so of course it impacts Dyches role but at the same time it doesn't stop him being a bit more flexible in certain games. I don't rate the guy whatsoever but I don't see the point in changing till the summer, that will cause all sorts of hassle.

If Everton wasn't in the desperate situation of 2 years ago:

A: They wouldn't have appointed a Dyche type of manager.
B: If Moshiri had still any motivation, he would have gone by January/Februar 2024.

And the financial aspect certainly had a big impact on why Dyche was kept.
