I don't doubt he's a good coach.

I said he had a very good ( & large ) squad to push his methods.

He wouldn't be able to do that here.

If he showed he could improve performances and / or results through coaching that set of players what makes you think he couldn’t improve your performances and results?

I’m not suggesting he would have us second btw or that I even want him but an example of good coaching is evident - most good coaches can take tjose transferable skills anywhere and apply that to any group of players admittedly with varying results.

The point I was making was it’s possible to coach better results and performances out of our existing squad but some people (not saying you) think it’s nigh on impossible for our group of players to be moulded into a more effective, functioning outfit.

I think that’s the crux of a lot of the disagreement in this thread. McKenna likewise - hitting a ceiling at the moment and likely to go back down but coached a core group of the same players up through two divisions
