2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Didn’t mind his appointment. Thought he did an under appreciated job at least in terms of keeping the players noses pointing forward last year. Was happy for him to grind to the end of his contract then shake hands.

If we’d had Vitor and sacked him tonight, I’d back Dyche to come in tomorrow and keep us up confortably.

But for all he’s had to put up with, he’s still trying to solve the same issue that was there “before my time here.” I think the players are with him broadly, given the fight shown in the 3 draws. They have no professional pride of their own.

But 2 successive first halves “we weren’t on it”. His sort of one dimensional messaging has clearly just run its course. Players just can’t hear the same thing every day for 2 years, especially when it stops working.

I think a fresh Dyche could come in and keep us up. Current actual Dyche after 2 years banging the same drum? Not for me.
"Before my time here" just doesn't wash when he is taking us backwards not forwards- the yardstick for him is he achieved 48 points last year, a good performance which got him half a season of credit, but we are nowhere near that pace this season. If he could get us 48 points despite all the "before my time here" issues his regression this season is unforgivable, it's the trajectory over the time he HAS been here that should get him the sack.

Sack Dyche & Co appoint Danny Rohl of Sheffield Wednesday, working miracles under a madhouse chairman that can’t pay his HMRC bills on time. He’s begging for support such as training facilities and youth system at Hillsborough they are desperate to keep him, he could start the much needed rebuild at Everton and wouldn’t want stupid wages!

Back a talented young coach
Great shout that. They’re apparently a fan of the German school of coaching also. May be seen as too risky at this time though. Starting afresh in the summer a different kettle of fish.
Can't see him getting the boot though mate. Can't help but think the whole club knows he's toast at the end of season and it's affecting everyone
Good point. Everyone knows he won’t be here beyond May including the players. As you say, that probably affects everyone subconsciously even if you try to ignore it. It’s a problem for sure.

The question is, who would win those with a squad lacking in creativity and without the pace to play a high line and on the front foot?
Why wasn’t the O’Brien money spent on creativity? Why wasn’t the Harrison loan used on someone creative?

It’s not as if he hasn’t had the chances to fix this at this point. It’s that hue doesn’t want to.

So why should he be left in charge of another transfer window? To bring in a few more crap crabs to allow the happy clappers to say “we what do you expect with these players”.

Would love to see the list of players he has knocked back his main concern is whether they get back not whether they can score goals
