2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Why wasn’t the O’Brien money spent on creativity? Why wasn’t the Harrison loan used on someone creative?

It’s not as if he hasn’t had the chances to fix this at this point. It’s that hue doesn’t want to.

So why should he be left in charge of another transfer window? To bring in a few more crap crabs to allow the happy clappers to say “we what do you expect with these players”.
It’s fairly clear that Harrison was a Dyche choice, O’Brien a Thelwell one (prob designed for his 3-5-2 formation). I’m all for replacing Dyche and you make some good points, however the players are his players and setup to play his way. I don’t think we can beat Villa or even Spurs with this squad or with more open attacking tactics. Hope I’m proved wrong.

Until our manager (whoever that is) and our DOF (let’s face it, this model has been a disaster for us, hoping we get Dan Ashworth to sort this mess out) are on the same page, we will just continue to waste money as you have described. My view is sort the DOF situation quickly and then replace Dyche with someone who can work with that DOF.

There's no way Dyche will be sacked.

This lot aren't going to cave in to a mob.

They know if they do they'll be on the hiding to nothing that the daft carpet bagger set up for himself by continually pandering to the online torchlight rally merchants.
Managers get themselves sacked. There hasnt even been any collective chants aimed at dyche at Goodison despite the tripe he serves up. If dyche was getting the results the owner wouldnt give a ride that the manager isnt popular amongst the fanbase. He will lose his job based on a better manager being available or results not being good enough and thats the way it should be..

That is evidence that both men need punting and fast.

Neither have any positive record to speak of.

Thelwell has been dire at buying players. As has Dyche.

TBF this one I can understand. We only had a little cash to make one money signing and we were trying to use it on Gnonto. But they switched strategy when neither Tarkowski or Branthwaite played a minute of pre-season and were struggling to overcome injury. At the time it made sense.

Time to roll the Dyche (says Pat Kelly)

Rumour has it we're getting 2 players in and Dyche has until the end of Jan to get some meaningful points on the board.

I take that as meaning these are Thewell picks, that 'should' be assets to either Dyche OR the new guy...whoever he may be - because why would you let Dyche
pick as he could (should?) be gone any time.

Deadman walking here - walking the Blue Mile

In no world did it make sense for a 4/5th choice centre back to have that much money spent on them.

Especially when goals have been the problem.

Even Gnonto is a workhorse instead of a proper creative player.

"Manager Glasner has already said the first goal is not to get relegated and, as it stands, it should be the only one." - Sounds quite a bit like how a relegation candidate would be talked about. If someone is writing that avoiding relegation should be the ONLY goal then I think it's fair to say the possibility of Palace being in a relegation struggle is being contemplated.

"A sense of anxiety has returned to a fanbase more familiar with false dawns, with a thread on the club's official forum titled "How worried are you about our poor start?" stretching beyond 32 pages." - Sounds like someone somewhere might have been talking about them being relegation candidates. Unless it was 32+ pages of relentless optimism.

"Tipped as possible European contenders back in the summer, Crystal Palace are now contemplating a relegation struggle." - Again, it sounds like they're being discussed about being relegation candidates.

It's very possible for a team to be talked about as relegation candidates while also being describes as likely to get out of it. There's a difference between being described as relegation candidates and relegation certainties or favourites. The same way plenty of sides get talked about as potential champions while being described as only having an outside chance.

Again our manager who used to finish 5th-7th every season talked about the first goal of the season was staying up. Literally means nothing.

A report of a fourm post  lad give me a break! And its only 32 pages this place would do that in less then a day and discussing their poor start doesn't mean discussing relegation. City probably had the same thread doubt it had relegation mentioned anywhere in it.

Okay theres one sentence talking about them maybe considering a relegation struggle. In three articles hardly real discussion is it?

Yeah I’m sure moshiri “ pandered” the the “ online torchlight rally merchants “ when appointing Rafael .

Was a proud day for all everyonians that were rallying and petitioning, when he appointed the fat waiter
