2024/25 Sean Dyche

That illusion was shattered long ago I’m afraid.
Evertonians are a house divided , full of hate for each other , and self loathing for ourselves .
Awash with Napoleon and Messianic complexes
If we were a single entity we would have been sectioned years ago.
We are a mess frankly .
Somewhat hard assessment

There’s a very clear one. Hoof ball is what Allardyce and Pulis did. A player launches it out the box to one striker up the pitch and the other 10 players reorganise themself in the penalty box for the next wave. The counter pressing you see from this team and the transitions we’ve done are not possible playing this way. Anyone can say they don’t like the style, that’s fine, but saying it’s just hoofball or there’s no organised way of playing is just incorrect.
Nonsense. Pickford hit 968 long passes in the past Premier League season, 77 more than Luton goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski and over 200 more than any other player in the competition.

So Dyche has nothing to do with this then?

Guess it’s Pickford’s fault for deciding to take most of the free kicks in our half and launch it into the opposition penalty box then

We have 0 organised way of playing. You can see it when the players have the ball, they haven’t got a clue where to pass to cos their all stood still like statues waiting for the ball to be lumped in the box.

It’s the main reason we can’t break anyone down. There’s not a chance we practice any attacking transitions in training. It’s all about defensive structure and set pieces.

The attacking play in the opponents half is so aimless.
