2024/25 Sean Dyche

Off the top of my head: Both Pochettino and Potter are sitting around, twiddling their thumbs and doing nothing at the moment... And both would do a better job than Dyche.

But as per usual, we have no ambition, and we'll wait until the last possible minute before making a change!
Probably only after the takeover because appears that Moshiri doesn't give a toss any more.
Neither of which would come to us in the current situation.

Like it or lump it, we are with Dyche until it becomes untenable and even then that might not be enough to remove him from the rudderless ship.

But however it is, whether he stays, or goes, what is very clear is we aren’t competing, we aren’t good enough.

Something has to change.

Everton have won 5 Premier League games since December 16th 2023. The only miracle working that this manager is doing is making you lot think that he's doing a good job under difficult circumstances.
you might complain that he isn’t doing a good job, but you can’t argue that Everton are not “difficult circumstances”

Actually we either need new owners or a hard reset.
The club is terminally ill and relegation would see us starting again.
We have had no investment for 5 seasons now. Every transfer window is balancing the books not real investment.
I understand the sentiment towards Dyche but no one is coming in and turning us into a tika taka middle table side.
Cheap squad, attractive attacking football, avoid relegation.
You can only ever choose two

Ironically enough SD stats if you will have remained consistent throughout his managerial career, around 35% win rate I think. It’s been almost uncannily like this for his whole career.

Anyone expecting this to suddenly change must be smoking crack. It won’t, he won’t change, it is what it is.

So unless he is sacked come the end of the season he will have around a 35% win rate or there abouts which will in theory garner around 39 points over the whole season.

Which in theory should mean safety.. in theory

I hate this tikka take stuff. Meaningless if we don’t win games.

Oh Brighton.

It has to be the takeover... The sooner, the better.

And that might not be enough this season.

Imagine our last season at Goodison is the season we finally get the... 😤

Knock on wood mate.

What he'll do now is park the bus and bunker in.

He, like previous managers, can't get the balance between attack and defence - it's one or the other.

Part players fault, majority his. So fully expect a very defensive approach going forward
And when we were leading, we should be wasting time but we didn’t!

Why played these 50:50 though balls and the full-backs were up on the fields and leaving massive space behind.

Dyche should be embarrassed watching Match of the Day. He comes out of it looking like the only man in a stadium of nearly 40k people who couldn’t see that the players were tired. The whole analysis was focussed on it and the opposition manager even references how tired we were as part of his tactical changes. Not Sean, though. He “couldn’t put his finger on it”.

Not defending him, but that's where the ego probably came in. We were absolutely murdering a side, things are clicking...he's thinking we've got a team here why revert to being more defensive?

Then if he did...you'll have people saying "why are we sitting off?"

It's just completely bizarre and amateurish. But I will say the entire back team looked goosed by 87mins. Just letting cross after cross in.

Those players had given there all for 70 minutes & were clearly tiring. Anyone could see that except the goon who could have changed it! The Bourmouth manager could, he threw on FIVE pairs of fresh legs & completely changed the balance of play. It was clear to see well before their first goal. He hung them out to dry then has the brass neck to blame them for his error.

Just give it Woan & Stone as caretakers until the new owners come in.

Literally every other team practice " dark arts". Brighton broke up any momentum we tried to build on opening game from start by feining head injuries.
This we will do football better because we are Everton is spouted by silly old wollys who should do croquet.
