2024/25 Sean Dyche

Not defending him, but that's where the ego probably came in. We were absolutely murdering a side, things are clicking...he's thinking we've got a team here why revert to being more defensive?

Then if he did...you'll have people saying "why are we sitting off?"

It's just completely bizarre and amateurish. But I will say the entire back team looked goosed by 87mins. Just letting cross after cross in.
Game management needs to come into play and that’s on both the manager and the players. The only reason we threw that game was the lack of subs and the wrongs ones. Tim and harrison should have come off and garner and young on to cover that right side. Dcl and ndiaye didn’t need to come off either, we lost are shape and out ball when they came off. From the 75th mark the midfield was starting to lose, but we might of hung in if ndiaye stayed on, soon as he went off they just pushed us back.

We actually had Carlo Ancelotti not even that long ago and since then we've had Benitez, Lampard and Dyche. Benitez was a laughable appointment from the outset, Lampard was a failed gamble and because of those two we had no other choice but to go for the "safe option" and it worked to keep us up for a while. But the club is going absolutely nowhere, not even midtable. The fans are basically being told it's enough to scrape by each season barely avoiding the drop, with no REAL investment in players to become a half decent, reliable team.

Absolutely tragic.

A clear out from the top down needs to happen.

He doesn't make wholesale changes unless we're losing heavily. He lost the midfield so why Garner didn't come on is bizarre. But every single player stopped running.

The back 4 we're also at sea. Both Tarko and Coleman allow a cross in the their 1st. Myko was awful and allowed the 2nd.

Was a complete loss of control.

He has totally lost it, listening to his pitiful excuses blaming everyone for our issues apart from the one main culprit "HIMSELF". He has not got a clue how to change things and he needs to go for playing McNeil in every match who has the that stupid running action which makes him look like he is running when actually he is moving no quicker than usual. The old cleaner who used to clean in my works was a Burnley fan and season ticket holder for 50+ years and believe me he hated the guy as he used to say he only had a PLAN A...That sounds very familiar !!!!

When managers start coming out with the excuses like he has been, it’s only a matter of time before they are gone.

The only thing is Moshiri doesn’t care, and it will only be down to him needing us to still be in this league to make sure he gets the maximum amount of money when he eventually sells us.

This. His record since December is appalling.

Looking at that team/squad yesterday we have enough not be dragged into relegation troubles imo.

There’s just no one there to even sack him is there? Probably has the safest job in the prem.

He might be able to start to get people back onside by making a clear radical change somewhere, like completely binning off and freezing out Michael Keane or something. But is he going to do that? Well there’s more chance of him growing luscious flowing strawberry blonde locks over the course of the international break.
Him turning up on the sidelines one day with a full head of hair and a mullet might just make it worth keeping him around.

Tim and gana legs was gone, Harrison and Coleman legs were gone. They just needed help. Its not rocket science but for dyche it seems to be. It happens time and time under him, and he refuses to do what every other manager does and that’s get fresh legs in the right areas.

Exactly. The substitutions were predictable because it's almost systematic: he takes off position A, for position B; he has to bring on or take off certain players.

He moaned about having to shout at players to get into shape, yet it was his substitutions (or lack of) that contributed to our lack of shape and capitulation.

Bournemouth had done nothing until the 75th-80th minute - they were dreadful - and should have remained dreadful if the right game management was in place.

It's easy to look for blame in someone if you aren't sure of them, but I doubt you'll find more than a handful of Everton fans who don't blame Dyche for yesterday.

He won't recgonise that, however.
