2024/25 Sean Dyche

He’s probably the luckiest Everton manager ever to come here. No other manager in world football survives what he served up last year, 14 out of 38 games without a single win, and no manager has a start like this season without serious questions being asked.

He’s untouchable for the foreseeable future unfortunately, he knows it and that will only add to his ego.

He’ll continue to shift the blame to everyone and at every opportunity given he will get one of his favourites onto that pitch. Rather the progress on the positives of yesterday and see he was the problem, he’ll regress into what he knows best, the ugly football he’s served up for 18 months. Total defensive shutdown, limited time on the ball and all structure

Like Trump, he has a cohort of diehards because he and they believe he is the messiah.

Who we having?! Poch going usa so nit him

If we went for a name, I reckon we’d chase Potter. Otherwise we’ll go for some young foreign coach that no one has heard of.

If Thelwell’s going to be the one to make the decision (as no one else is in charge), you’d think he’d want someone who can work with the younger squad we’ve been developing.

23 wins in 66 games... in all competitions.

In the Premier League 18 wins from 58, 69 points from a possible 174.

Ped is spot on here... Dyche default position is Negativity.

I just been sat here thinking and people keep saying he kept us up the last 2 years an the truth is he didn’t, if Leicester hadn’t completely imploded we would have gone down, we where terrible an yet Leicester kept us up.
Last season we had points deductions and still finished miles ahead of the worse promoted teams in the history of the PL despite going winless for 13 games

Anybody criticising Dyche for only having a Plan A obviously forgot that he took us down to free scoring Chelsea last season, didn’t bother marking Cole Palmer and thought that was the best time to try and play expansive football even though we hadn’t setup to have the football for the entire season before it.

Felt at the time that was almost him throwing us under the bus to get a hammering so he could continue with his usual system and point to that game as to why

A team 2-0 down in any league with 3 minutes to go will throw caution to the wind and go for it, no matter who they are. They have to do it by the quickest means possible which is usually by lumping it in to the box at the first opportunity, which is exactly what Bournemouth did, you don't need to be a millionaire manager to guess this.

Goals 2 and 3 were hideous, basically free headers. We had a 6'6" giant on the bench at the time, please don't tell me Sean he'd not have got his head on one of those crosses. The substitutions were mind blowing. He really does not know the meaning of "seeing a game out" does he?

this defeat was down to the players not the manager
sadly was the players that had played well to that point
myko for 1st not clearing tim for 2nd not tracking runner from mid field 3rd myko again
was good exciting attacking football to then not with dyche this one
You are ignoring the managers failed in game management then?
The fact we moved from a commanding position immediately following his poor intervention .
You think he made the correct substitutions?
And utilised the bench effectively?
Really ??

They made 5 changes, dyche didn’t react and then the 2 late subs he did make were the wrong ones, we had tired legs to their fresh 5 ones. It’s the managers job on the sidelines to make in game decisions. Dyche has proved time and time again he can’t do it
I’m sorry but you can’t dress up, 5 wins since December 16th 2023.
No wins when we concede first
No wins at home when the opposition score
Utterly horrendous stats and he’s on borrowed time

+1

A team should not be conceeding 3 goals in under 9 minutes.

Soon as they got a goal back thats when you want one of our players on the floor calling for the physio. Give the lads a breather & kill the momentum Bournemouth were building.

Have a few players take bookings etc.

EFC have struggled with the dark arts under every manager since and including Wee Davey.

The manager should take criticism for not freshening up the midfield with fresh legs, but there should be no excusing a complete switch off from Pickford, Keane, Myko & Coleman.

Can’t be bothered looking at the actual stats but our home record compared to other established PL teams in recent years must be the worst by a long way. This is a massive handicap and bizarre that it continues season after season

One has to wonder what type of media training he got at UEFA in Switzerland when doing the pro badge .

I'd say dyche was staring out the window dreaming of Mickey Keane at the back of the class because there is no way that he was listening.
