2024/25 Sean Dyche

He’s a starter now. So the point still stands.

Two of our best players are set to leave. Plus 9-10 other squad members. And we’re probably forced to sell JB. So, whichever way you look at it, it’s not an attractive situation for a new manager to walk into.
Well I heard a pod the other day, and a clued up guy on that said he’s spoken to people at football clubs and said it’s quite an attractive situation for a manager and DOF, because it’s a blank canvas, fresh start, the wage bill will be the lowest it’s been in years, if we sell Branthwaite, that will add a lot of money into the pot

What we’ve pulled in the last few years, add in the new ground, better sponsorship deals, maybe a big naiming rights deal. The new owners, refinancing, we could be in a good situation to have re-set and have quite a bit of money to spend

Sure, it becomes a more attractive situation once the new owner is in and we’re in the new ground, with money to spend and a blank canvas.

But we’re not there yet and we might not even get there unless the ownership changes and we remain a Premier League club. Both of those factors are critically important and will be a challenge.

So, until then, we’re still owned by Moshiri incurring more debt each week, we’ve got no money to spend in January as it stands and 10-12 of the squad we have now will leave for nothing in June (so we’ll need massive funds to replace them to remain competitive again next season)

If those funds are there, many managers will love it. If they aren’t 🤷‍♂️

Assuming he knows this to be true, Dyche holds a very powerful card.

Despite everything, he has done a good job under difficult circumstances to keep us up and, if he were to resign before the ownership issue is resolved, it would leave us in a very vulnerable position.

If I were in Dyche shoes, I would be demanding a new contract by a certain date or I will be walking. Moshiri would loathe to be in that position and, although many want him gone (and reasonably so), I really fear who the club would be able to attract if he left right now.

Sometimes, better the devil you know (until we have new owners, at least).
If he resigns he doesn't get his ludicrous bonus. He's going nowhere if we don't sack him.

Do you think Moshiri hires a better, more experienced manager than Dyche at short notice and with no money to spend in January?

I don’t.

I suspect we’d end up with either Woan and Stone in interim charge till the end of the season or until the Textor deal was able to complete (and who knows how long that might take) or we’d end up with some out of work chancer like Vitor Perreira.
Seriously Sean?

Please stop messaging on this forum. It's a really bad look for you.

That makes no sense.

'He cant win games in August and I know 100% its because hes stubborn and wont change.' Followed by "No idea why it changes in September though". I thought you had a well thought out opinion on it and so I asked for the rest of it, but it seems I was wrong and you just wanted to bitter-post.

What are you taking about ?

I didn’t say “ I know 100% it’s because he’s stubborn “

I said that the same pattern for over 10 years tells me one of two things

Either he is too stubborn to change his approach or he does not seem to be able to identify problems that others can and cannot find solutions to fix them.

I don’t know his approach and I’m not a prem manager so I can’t suggest solutions … but that doesn’t mean you can see the problem and know it’s not good.

If you start getting black mould in your house you don’t know what the underlying issue is and how to fix it do you? That doesnt mean that you don’t know there’s a problem

Lots of people worried about pay offs, worried about who we could attract, worried if it will be better with another manager. Don't worry yourselves.

We are bottom, 3 games, 3 defeats. We went on a winless run for a few months last season and a few on here were touting him as manager of the year!

If we are heading to the championship leave big Sean in place. He's got experience of getting relegated. He's the perfect man for the job. I'm sure his championship win ratio is higher than the 34% he's consistently achieved in the PL so everyone will enjoy next season.

Damp in the walls, basically wash them with a vinegar solution until all the mould is off, leave it to dry, check you haven't got a water leak, if you haven't likelihood is you are getting a condensation build up on the wall from someplace.

Couldn't resist mate sorry.
