2024/25 Sean Dyche

I think it’s hard to quantify ‘worse ‘ on managers or players , it’s obviously subjective .
But I have been going the game since Catterick was our manager and I would unhesitatingly place Dyche in the worst manager category along with Walker , Allardyce , Lampard and Benitez.
Personally Dyche edges it out of those 4 for his utter inability to manage a game.
Lampard threw away leads against Brentford at home, Southampton at home, and Wolves at home. And has always had a better ppg ratio to boot. The stats aren't on your side there

" handing Dyche an extension to lead the club into its new stadium will be as tough a sell to supporter"

WTF is he on about?

No one in their right mind is suggesting contract extension. No Evertonian will be contemplating it. Well maybe one or two of the Dyche lovers.
Carragher seems a bit out of touch or maybe he's just mischief making. The most likely thing is Dyche will be sacked long before the end of his contract.
A win here and a win there won't be enough to satisfy the majority of the fans. Essentially this is what we got from him last season. A repeat of that
and he should be sacked. It's not good enough. Despite what some might say about 48 points. It was a terrible campaign blighted by unwanted runs
and there's absolutely zero progress from Dyche this season. He is absolutely not getting enough out of the team. He has a terrible attitude towards us the fans
and a terrible attitude to football in general I can't wait to see the back of him.
Think he’s going on about what the mail said yesterday about extending his contracts

The manager conundrum shouldnt be a question of whether he’s ‘got the potential to turn this around’. We know his statistics, we know the last 3 games. Hes lost the fans. By far the worst Everton manager ive seen and I started out with Bingham…
Benitez has the edge from a raw hate perspective but yes, performance wise this chump wins out as the worst in my experience dating back to early 80’s.

This is what Dyche did, also. Or are you forgetting? That we should have beaten Fulham, Wolves, Luton (twice) last season and he's repeated this with Brighton and Bournemouth. Trying to out do Lampard. He's class isn't he?

Currently 4 league games lost in a row.

Will likely be 5 after Villa, a lot of managers from reasonable sides have been booted after 5 losses.

FWIW its not worth getting rid until the ownership situation is sorted, we have to much to worry about relegation
Didnt de bore get sack after 6 losses or was it 8? Wasnt far off anyway

Dyche has a better away and home record does he not? And I'm talking about throwing away leads because Lampard is 3 to Dyches 1

Regardless of style or whether they are liked, manager comparisons should be based on statistical analysis. Dyche’s style is awful, his in game management is none existent (bit like Pep😄) but his PPG is better than Lampard. He may be the beneficiary, of a better DoF (Thelwell vs Brands) and will have a slightly changed squad, but on the basis his PPG is better than Lampard’s over a similar amount of games, he is at least a more effective manager (if not better). This is from someone who thinks Dyche does not have a lot of time left to recover some confidence this season that we won’t be relegated) and should be sacked soon if results don’t improve.

Moshiri and Chong certainly acted quick enough when they realised somebody actually wanted to buy the club , they couldn’t distance themselves quickly enough , in stark contrast to the love in with the 777 gangsters 😀.
Dyche ,though , is very well recompensed for managing a club whose only aim is to avoid relegation ad infinitum. His wage is that of top half manager.
It is said that in adversity a persons true character is revealed and Sean’s has so far proved lacking .
It is. And I had hope he proves me wrong. I was sure he keeps us up the first season, and play a better 2nd, that happened, but won't take us further. I said I would expect 45p at least of any manager in charge.

Lampard was on 1ppg in 2022 with 35 games and 35 points.

38 games 47 points 2023 under Dyche 1.24ppg, 41 games (3 were under Lampard with 0 points) Dyche was 12 points better in 2023 than Lampard in 2022. That is a clear improvement.

21 games 22 points 2024 so far under Dyche 1.05ppg

Prem only.

This would mean about 7 points less in the same period. I know Dyche's August stats are worse, but seeing the entire year he was 2 points better so far than Lampard in 2022. This is really questionable then.

Moyes wasn’t arrogant until he’d done anything of note, and he’s 10 times the manager Dyche will ever be

Of course he was arrogant. Needed to be in his 2nd year when we finished 17th with 39 points.

Point being you don't have to like a manager on his personality as we've had abar 10 managers since Moyes and no one liked any of them...apart from Carlo which most called a dinosaur

Is the answer everything?
😂

Summary is....same as last season but we're pressing higher with more intensity and winning the ball back (top 3).

Not creating better chances than last season, not converting what we do either. Then leaving the door open on transitions, shots, and goals.

Seems a bit Lampard-esque.

More surprising is Newcastle play more "forward balls" and make less passes than we do
