But if Dyche can’t get them to defend like he did last season, there’s no point in him being here.

These players play in a very defensive approach

Dyche is an awful pragmatist who limits players. Its all about 1.5 point a game average; the entire tactic

The players aren't downing tools either.

Sack him tomorrow and bring in someone trendy from Europe or Moyes and we still go to the wire.

If Dyche is our manager in May then it definitely won’t have gone to the wire.

I agree Drico, however do these same people not watch the match ? I seen the following occur:

DCL hitting the bar

We missed a 1v1

We should have had a stonewall penno if our player cared enough to go down. I questioned our players mentality post Bournemouth in which they were refusing to do the dark arts to see the game out. Today is another instance - Salah is rolling around in that instance and earns a penno.

Villa scored a worldie

Too many just check the score line on the SSN app and fume away without looking at the context of the result.

How many points is context worth?

Sounding like Dyche with his xG. I don’t envy the guy but this squad isn’t ‘bottom of the league, 3 goals shipped a game’ bad.

We played on the deck about three times all game and 2 led to chances, a great deal of this is on him. The squad is really poor but he’s way too negative with his approach.

Played well Vs Bournemouth and pissed it away.

We don't get points for context. The most important context here is 0 points, 13 goals conceded, 4 goals scored, two 2-0 leads squandered, bottom of the league.

I'm strangely 'relaxed' about this situation.

We'll be more than ok IMO.

If we get beat by Leicester I'd understand if he were sacked, but the reality of our situation makes that scenario unlikely.

Again, we can point to isolated moments in a game that cost us: DCL scores to make it 3-1 and the game is over IMO.

What can we do? We're just going to have to wait for this form to turn.

We spent our remaining budget of near 20m pound on a centre half who can't get a game for a side conceding over 3 a game.

I dont think I'm ever going to begin to understand how this has happened. A lack of joint up thinking and some diabolical decision making by the manager.

How do you know, he never gets a game.

I saw him for the RoI the other night against England. Looked ropey with the ball at his feet coming out from defence.

He's a prospect and no more than that.

We desperately need Branthwaite back. When that happens we can build a base for victories.
