2024/25 Sean Dyche

We can’t go on like this.

I’ve been giving it large all week in the office, bragging to my two colleagues (a pair of RS who I can’t stand) that we’ll beat Villa. Dyche has once again made me look a right frigger.

Luckily for me, I work from home and my two RS stickhead colleagues are imaginary, so they’ll be easy to ignore on Monday morning as long as they don’t get in my head too much.

We were totally undercooked to start the season.
The players aren't fit enough to see out a game.
The pre season was a car crash, when it didn't need to be.
All that Beasting in the close season was a master stroke 🙄

Trudging round the North West & Ireland when everyone else was concentrating on playing good opposition in tournaments and Gaffer days without kicking a ball have been a lethal cocktail, the results are plain for everyone to see.

This is, by far, the daftest stance to backing him.

We don't know, at ALL, who might be interested in 5m a year. You know who probably is? Thelwell, Moshiri et al. We literally could have Klopp saying "i want to manage you lot" for all we know. I mean, 99.9999% sure he wouldn't but saying "nobody worthwhile would come here" is just daft.
It’s a piss poor defence that springs up with every manager, there are thousands that would jump at the chance to manage a PL club with our history

I agree said it at 2-0 up we were never in control of the game and to be honest our goals came against the run of play.

I’ll share an impopular opinion, I’m a big Tim fan, but the game today and Vs Spurs wasn’t for him, felt both passed him by and he struggled to impact at the very least he needed support. I’d have had an extra body in midfield today, probably at McNeills expense, we never had control of the game and our midfield was part of that.

The defence looks like what it is, a back four thrown together on availability, if we have all our defenders fit and playing and we are still conceding 3-0 a game, I’ll be the first in here to criticise.

I am critical of Dyche today on this score, how after loosing last week by not controlling the game, where the players not better able to manage that game, they should have broken momentum, held possession, slowed the tempo - before the first goal. To often we kicked possession back them by going direct - we were getting joy doing it but you have to read the moment in the and and what required. Possession today was too precious to turn possession into 50/50 ball. There collective responsibility in that to - the players should at this level be able to read a game as well.

After reading that Opta article yesterday there's a few glaring points...

We're allowing more shots on goal than last season. Transitions are an issue. To me that says the midfield as a whole aren't closing or effective in winning the ball in.

We're also not defending in a low block. Which is bizarre as we've zero pace in the fullbacks and Michael Keane who can only defend in a low block.

We're top 3 for high pressure and winning the ball in the final 3rd. We've been nowhere near clinical with that...then left the door open.

To me that says the midfield aren't closing down as effective.

He really believes he is the messiah. Partly some of the fans fault for treating him like one. He has managed to convince some people that staying in the league is an acceptable aim when in reality it is the poorest thing you can achieve. There is no lower bar other than being relegated. It isn't an aim at all, just a way of manipulating people into thinking he is a messiah for doing it again when the fact is he is an absolutely abysmal manager in every aspect.

the club has no ownership leadership

so he thinks he’s immune

he is from the sack just not from criticism

Pains me to say it but Carragher hit the nail on the head when he said we set up every game like we’re looking for an FA Cup 3rd round shock. We’ve never won a game after going behind under Dyche, as we just sit so deep behind the ball that we’ve got no way of changing the game when it goes against us. To lose from 2 up in consecutive games is inexcusable.

I know we've got fires going on all over the place but centre mid is a problem. Not sure tim and gana can work together.

Honestly don't believe that at all. I think we have a midtable squad. He's set us up to have Dom 30 yards away from everyone else. How is that supposed to work? He's set us up so that our fullbacks sit back, don't overlap, we don't create space. Villa had the gobshite Gerard, was in the basement with us, binned him off and got Emery and went from relegation areas to Europe to Champions League. It's the manager. It's always been the manager.
Deluded, if you think that, out of that starting 11 I'd say only pick ford and dcl is a mid table players, ndiaye maybe still early days,
