2024/25 Sean Dyche

And I tell you what else I’m sick to death about hearing all these moans about the challenges of the job, yes Everton have plenty of issues that pre-date Dyche but he’s being paid FIVE MILLION POUNDS a year to do the job, it’s going to have a challenge or two, shut up and get on with it.
I’ll do it for 2.5 million.

Not a fan of dyke. But lampard would have relegated us. I think anyone that keeps us up has done enough as ugly as it is. Yeah we deserve better but I'm just happy to get into the new stadium in the premier League. Our squad is terrible and they look like they know it. I think we'll finish 15th but it won't be pretty. Then wait to see how the next owners mess us up.

For me one of the biggest reasons to keep Dyche around was the work he was doing with the very limited squad we had the last two seasons. Barring the left and right back positions, he has options at every position, and some depth in quality. I think for the first time this squad has enough depth, talent and potential to play some decent football. The attacking unit in particular is more balanced and talented than it has been for years. Dyche's inability to get a tune out of any of his strikers and play forwards in their correct position combined with the collapse of the defense make it hard to defend him.

Well when when you have a manager blaming the players on the pitch for coughing up leads (rather than his own selection, subs and tactics), it will cause heads to drop and the weaker minded players to think they are rather cra€.

That’s an
Easy thing to say though, when we went on
That horrendous run last season, a lot of fans thought we wouldn’t get out of it,
But we did. Who says Lampard wouldnt have done the same. Dyche took Burnley down twice, if he stays here long enough he will relegate us. His football basically guarantees a relegation battle. And eventually your luck will run out

But that is EXACTLY what they did when 2-0 up at home to Bournemouth. That kind of collapse is out of Dyche's hands, it really is. AND 2-0 up at Villa and Dracula Pickford is rooted on his line when it is obvious that a cross is going to come into the 6-yard box (Ditto for a couple of Bournemouth late goals!). No wonder Dyche is looking to possibly pick up Pope from Newcastle. Dyche can get everything in position, and then the players go and screw it all up! THAT is the size of the situation at present...

Yeah, shame we had 0 subs available and the holes weren't obvious.

Also shame he couldn't shout instructions to anyone as he became mute in this specific game and could just watch.

Great game management, definitely not his fault any of that, you're right.

Tielemans had 34 passes into our box on Saturday, 1 every 3 minutes is outrageous and yet the manager didn’t change anything to try and combat it
May have been our final 3rd not box, but it’s still a scandalous stat

You end up with lower possession against Villa, also against Spurs and Brighton, but the way we give freedom in our half or box, the gaps in the midfield and defense this season against the ball is terrifying and far off last season.

We play deep, but don't manage to close the rooms. Don't annoy them with physical play etc.
