Look at the teams we play in cups. We STILL sit back most of the time. I get that "possession" is an overrated stat but we don't even control games against league 2 sides. It's really crazy just how unwilling to change he is.

Is the short list what Moshiri & Kenwright picked out of the application list ?Have any names mate?
You see, the last 3 times we've needed a manager the shortlist hasn't been very inspiring has it?
Corberan. Dealt with crazy ownership problems and has improved the team. And he would come here too.Potter would need time, and this is not something we have now.
Yes but as with potter, his win rate got better as the team transitioned from the dire Houghton team to the Potter team towards the end.I'll give you Frank. But like I said, Dyche did better than him last season and we're 4 games in this season. I also dont think he'd come at the moment.
Potter was a symptom of Brighton, not a cause. He lost more than he won at Brighton - His win rate (31%) was less than Houghton. In my view, Potter would be a disaster here.

Did they overlook any younger up & coming that they didn't seem safe enough with Premier lge experience ?
For 5 mil a season I imagine they would have been inundated with applications.
Looks like they have constantly fished in the same pool (bar Ancelotti) with the overall outcome being the same.
Been happening for ages though, and you've not come up with an answer why we should be sticking with him (even more so currently), just that "it could be worse"?Discussing who could come in as a manager, when debating whether to sack the current one seems pretty logical to me.
You're saying Potter.
I'm saying he's crap.
Ask the DOF, make it work as a project, like all teams do. Even if it's a "nonamer" currently. We've gone to every type haven't they?
Silva, Allardyce, Koeman, Ancelotti, Benitez, Lampard, Dyche.
Young progressive types, arl arse pragmatists, title winners.
Little wonder we've got an identity crisis.
Wonder who the next choice would be.

Brighton wouldn't be where they are now without Potter, he completely changed the squad, and provided a starting base for de zerbi and the young chap who's there now to build on.
he'd just need time, but as inpatient as us everton fans are if you could see improvements and see what he's trying to do, we'd all be down for that
This simply cannot be allowed to continue .We've gone to every type haven't they?

I've emailed Chong and anticipating a call anytime now to offer me the job. We've gone to every type haven't they?

Anyone we suggest is crap though, aren't they? Potter was crap (meh on him personally, willing to agree), Glasner would've been crap (if we were ever in for him, hypothetical obv), Bielsa - crap, Thomas Frank - crap, BuLi managers - crap, anyone in the world - crap.
Problem is mate, so is Dyche, and he might actually be worse. If (huge IF right now) the DoF is allowed to have a voice in these discussions - yes, I'd trust that decision more than Dyche, who was an emergency manager and should've never been anything past a 1 year contract, but we're handicapped like that.
Staying with Dyche is an equally guaranteed disaster and he's even trying his best to pick a fight with the fans and everyone. We're actively trying to alienate fans from the last ever season at Goodison if we keep him, to go with the dreadful loser football/mentality.
You've kept bringing up 48 points as an argument for him, but Dyche himself has not, because he's preparing for another relegation fight as that's all he knows. That's the same reason he keeps bringing up Burnley as well - this is Dyche, this is all he is - less fat Big Sam. Might as well rebrand him to Big Sean if he puts on a few (stone) and it'd be appropriate - a specialist in saving a team short term, no idea how to build past that. Nothing bad in that, but to say "he's the only one that can manage these players to safety" is a genuinely ridiculous shout, especially given how you're using it together with "he got 48 points", which just makes it illogical.
You can say "it's the players", but again those same players that got mid table with Dyche himself are magically now not good enough, considering we've added some pace/technique on the wings. We were just outplayed by the Saints B-team (and everyone else beforehand) and looked like the team that was in the Championship (or still is) for all but 70 min of games this season.
I'm fine with grinding out results, but this is so far removed from it, unless we're grinding out losses.
Lol, you think he would?Corberan. Dealt with crazy ownership problems and has improved the team. And he would come here too.
