2024/25 Sean Dyche

"I hope Everton don't win so I can be right and get my own way". We're rock bottom of the table ffs.

I think it's fair to say the new owner will be bringing his own people in no matter what. The entire management structure throughout the club will get a total overhaul, and will be largely replaced. Three points tomorrow is 3 points that the new manager doesn't need to gain, and/or it could literally be the difference between staying up and going down. I can never, ever, imagine a situation where I wanted Everton not to win.

superb

If know it sounds bad but I don't want to win against Palace, because it's just a false dawn. If we win people will say, "he got a draw at Leicester and we've won at Palace he's turning it round". Then it will go back to same old, same old. We had perfect chance to sack him after Southampton, yet didn't take it. Now I fear if we beat Palace we will be stuck with him.

behave lad. we’re bottom of the league

we want to win no matter the position and as you love the club

dyche won’t be here summer

but we won’t be in the PL summer if we don’t start winning

dyche needs to i WANT to win tomorrow

and any everton fan should it’s that simple mate

Imagine being the guy that wants the team to be crap so he can say I told you we were crap
Silva, Benitez, Martinez, and Lampard were all kept longer than they should of. My issue is it will be hailed as progress, then the inevitable fume, a few weeks later. Selling a quality left back in Digne, because Benitez didn't like him, then we sacked him 2 days later and now have a left back who has a nervous breakdown if he crosses half way line.

we sold digne because we were having a fire sale of anything worth anything to keep the doors open.

I'm not sure we have it within our powers to choose when we win - I think we have to take every single draw and win we can whenever and however they happen. What you suggest is like trying to time the stock market - and that really doesn't work either.

You know there is a chance that Dyche finally grows some balls and starts playing our best players and we actually start playing some decent football and get some much needed wins.
If he can keep the disciplined defensive structure thats generally his strong point and learn how to introduce lyndstrom, ndiaye attacking qualities, he may just win me over.
(Currently im definitely in the dyche out camp.)

No it’s all about amassing points now otherwise we will be too far behind. The new owners will sort the manager position.

Watch him go on a massive win streak now, which I'm sure we won't complain about
Are you new on here, even when he wins he gets slated, some people want him out no matter what he does, good or bad.
As soon as I seen the starting line up first couple of games of the season I joined that group too.

Probably because he’s been instructed and coached not to do it.

It's an interesting one because yeah, there probably was an initial galvanising effect for a few games, but then after that you also have that massive winless slog that maybe doesn't happen without the pressure of the ten points plunging us back into the relegation zone.

While they got an initial jolt, after a while they looked understandably demoralised by being in a relegation battle they'd have felt they had no business being in and wasn't because of their own performances. My feeling is the two factors probably just about balanced out in the end.

Don't think so mate, I think certain players were just absolutely ran into the ground by Dyche and either subsequently broke down, or when they didn't he just kept playing them anyway.

Embarrassing comment. No Everton fan wants Everton to lose, there's no logic applicable to that train of thought.
