Is there a way to show search results as posts rather than thread titles?

Returning thread titles is pretty useless when you then have to search through the thread for what you are looking for - especially if it is a long thread.

I think you just choose search entire posts mate

Yeah Basil is right.

In PC Mode go to 'Advanced Search' in the top right. Then check the tick boxes as required or even put the user name in and search 'posts'. Just did it myself and it worked quite well.

Yes, you need to change the 'search for single/multiple content' bit.

you can choose 'contained in titles/posts'
specify a username

and you can select to have the results shown as threads or posts, in up or down order, between certain dates etc etc

Quite a good search facility when tou get used to it, the 5 characters is a bit of a pain like. All in all though I've managed to pulls a few folks kecks down via that.

I still have the same problem as coach.

How do i seacrh for the word "bumblebee" and return results thats show every post specifically that contain that word, rather than just the threads, meaning i have to read through every page in that thread in order to find the posts containing "bumblebee".

I don't think you can.

keyword - Bumblebee

Delete username if autofilled

scroll down to "show results as," and select "posts."

hit Search

Oh and to answer the OP, all you have to do is click 'search forum' then change the option to 'show posts'.
