There was something on the news with the the families reading out the peoples names in alphabetical order, very very sad moment.

90 different countries lost people which was very suprising. This was an attack on the world really, not just the US.

An attack on freedom and the democratic process. And for what?

It was a tragic waste of life and the end of the world to so many unlucky families, how these people must feel when the conspiracy theories were first made public is hard to imagine I used to get emails from a guy who worked there and never received any since can only assume he was a victim. a special thought also for the heroic fireman racing into their fate in the hope of saving lives may they all rest in peace except for the terrorist that died may they rot in hell for eternity.

This is true. Even the French President was moved to say that "we are all Americans now" then pussied out when push came to shove.

I think it was my 1st or 2nd day of secondary school when i found out.

I find it really really interesting and sad.

A horrible, horrible day. We really need to rid the world of these horrible people that want to replicate 9/11.

RIP.

The trouble is mate every time one of these guys is killed or captured they become martyrs and more people join feeling they are right and have their God on their side so how can we win them over Violence will not work it never has.Look at Palestine another tragic place.

I remember I was just getting ready to head out to work so I turned on the TV to see how the financial markets were looking to open.

Well they're showing the WTC North Tower on fire and I'm thinking, "that isn't right."

They're still speculating about what type plane hit it when the United 175 comes into the picture. I see it and I say to myself again, "that isn't right, he shouldn't be there" in about a split second of thinking.

Your mind knew what was coming next but you didn't want to believe it.

Still makes me sick thinking about it.

I was outside splitting logs and my neighbour, white faced, came over and said planes had been flown into the towers, and it might be deliberate. I got in and put the TV on and watched them come down. It was awesome to see them crumble like that and sickening to think there were real people in there, with hopes, dreams and families. It was a disgraceful callous act. Makes me angry just thinking about it.

I've heard an audio of a call between a guy stuck in the tower and 911 emergency.

Very terrifying. The call ends when the tower comes down on him and a few of the people trapped with him.

It's absolutely sickening to hear. I'd post a link but I don't have it. I'm sure you can track it down though if you really care to hear it.

(EDIT: Transcript link below)

I do believe that I have heard that very recording, Bill. :(

And it was harrowing if I remember correctly.

all those lives, in the towers and the planes gone. senseless destruction.

repercussions still effect today.

very sad, thoughts and prayers out to the families.

I remember stopping for a pint in otterspool and every one was crowded round the Tv and just as my wife sat down the second plane arrived ,Cant imagine the terror those poor people faced watching the plane coming straight at them I always remember this [Poor language removed] in the pub remark its better than watching a movie! I had to sit down or I would have hit him some people are beneath contempt
