Alright, I guess I am just not getting it here.

Sheff Utd aren't giving up their shares in the league until the outcome of the arbitration panel renders their verdict, the league is now saying at the AGM they will be taken away.

I think with all that has happened, the league doesn't have a foot to stand on. Lets see, to begin with they are letting transfers happen with out QAing them. They let West Ham essentially borrow a firm's players (who technically aren't legal players due to their registrations).

Then they let one of said players transfer to another club in the transfer window(already an illegal player, now even more illegal as this is his 3rd club since June 1st).

Then convene a panel to investigate the original transfer they approved, hand out a frankly pathetic punishment (for a transfer they approved), then continue allowing these illegal players to play. One of whom is instrumental in keeping West Ham up.

If I was Sheffield United I would be so pissed. I wouldn't be waiting for an arbitration panel set up by the league, I would be in the courts right now demanding West Ham and Liverpool have points removed for every point gained with these players on the field.

In my eyes, the Premier League was the last bastion of competent people, but after this season, they are now on equal footing with the Ref Association and the FA.

So, to sum up, this is a load of bollocks. Teams need to band together and do something about this instead of letting Sheff Utd go it alone.

Two elements missing from your summary mate, ching ching money talking and the fact that West Ham have more mates in both the Prem and FA hq's than any other club.

The share retained by Utd is purely symbolic V sign and officially the Prem could take action against Utd for retaining their property. The Prem is a union of teams hence the fickle finger should be pointed not just at West Ham but at all the other teams who have failed to offer Utd support, ourselves included. The only club to have given any show of strength against this injustice is Wigan because it could so easily have been them, the rest are conspicious only by the silence that eminates from each club which I think is shameful. If a majority of teams wanted that verdict over turning then it would have been, even the present review is not a judical one simply paying lip service to the powers that be, Scudamore has already said as much imo, which stinks.(y) (y) (y)

portsmouth and fernandes.

the mystery of howard, and our game with man ure.

its all grease ball [Poor language removed], sheff utd are a small fish, they dont have any weightto throw around, and sir trevor brooking wasnt going to let his side be properly punished while he sits on his throne at the FA.

Sheffield United still seem confident of getting back in. I wonder what would happen if West Ham signed Scott Parker (for instance) and were then booted out of the PL?

I dont know about anyone else but its a bit sickening Sheff Utd playing the wounded animal, if i remember correctly they were extreamly non-committal on the issue when it looked odds on theyd get out of trouble.

Havnt Al fayed and Whelan gone very quiet again. Theyve no chance of staying up, but its terrible people in the game being exposed as money grabbing media manipulators. You dont know whos worse the clubs or the press.

As someone said its all grease ball stuff and really unsavoury in the game.

there was a meeting between the FA and all the PL chairmen (or their reprasentatives) a few days ago, the FA sweet talked "a majority" into pressurising Fulham to drop their legal case on this matter. not heard anything since, but al fayed hasnt been bullied into silence by the aristocracy, so i cant see the FA being able to intimidate him.

I THINK YOUR RIGHT SUITS, BUT I JUST THINK HE AND WHEALAN JUST DONT CARE NOW BECAUSE IT DIDNT HAPPEN TO THEM.

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE ADMIRABLE IF ALL DOWN THERE HAD STUCK TOGETHER REGARDLESS OF WHO GOT RELEGATED BUT JUST SEEMS TO ME THAT SHEEF UTD IS A SINGLE DEAD MAN WALKING.

iTS NOT THAT I THINK EITHER WHEALAN OR AL FAYED WOULD BE BULLIED JUST THAT THEY DONT CARE ANYMORE. MY ABOVE POINT BEING THAT IS VERY SAD.

ooooh... capitals.. thanks.

anyway, I hope west ham do go down, one less bloody London team anyway.

Any fair minded football fan, none West Ham of course, will believe that the Hammers got off so lightly and that they should have had points deducted. I can't help but see Trevor Brooking's fingers all over that decision, his influence is that great.

Sheff Utd seem to think that justice will be done and the decision reversed, oh how I wish that such a thing would happen but every fibre of my body says it won't. If it comes down to clubs voting then West Ham will have a bloc southern vote. I would have been delighted to have heard more clubs speak out against what went on, so few have that it makes matters virtually cut and dried that the status quo will be maintained. The only way this can be reversed imo is via judicial review and even that would need a precedent and in the prem none exists
