Should there be a transfer window at all?

It should end before the season starts. And open again when the season ends. Simple as that.

Everybody knows that's what should happen, but then Sky may well lose valuable viewers twice a season.

Exactly this.

The start of a season is always a joke for everyone, but maybe city, because how can a manager sort his squad out with people potentially coming in and out whilst the season's running?

It's ridiculous.

As for allowing transfers all the time, I don't know. It would be good for the buying clubs, but for the likes of us it would be a constantly nervy season imo.

It's like goal line technology. It's not when is it going to happen, it's just why isn't it happening already?

I have to say that's kind of what I think. However, if you could buy and sell all the time, it would be fair for everyone. The biggest flaw in the window system is when players leave at the end and managers don't have time to replace, as almost happened last year with JL.

Of course that doesn't factor in the new 25 man rule...
