Should we be concerned about Newcastle winning the thingy-cup?

Opinions seem divided about the significance of Newcastle winning the Carabao Cup for Everton FC.

Some seem nea in the game thread. Others seem concerned about the consequences on the behaviour of the Geordies towards Everton and Evertonians.

I was unsure, can't stand both of them. But watched it and in the end my gut feeling was that I did not want the RS to win. And they didn't!

I know its Newcastle and all that stands for, but its good when Lesser teams win trophies, it gives hope to everyone.

Nobody wants to see the same teams win the same trophies every year.
