Everton's head of technical scouting James Smith: "Manager Roberto Martinez is very keen on wingers, but the club is more focused on summer 2014 transfer window than January."

At least two from Maxime Lestienne, Jefferson Montero, Thomas Ince and Massimo Bruno then please, we don't have any classic winger in our team, these would be amazing and not too expensive as well. One of them could come already in January, I hope, I don't expect more incomings than one or two. The second could be Fernando from Porto or Ferandes from Besiktas (or other CM), their contract ends in June. Maybe we'll sell Heitinga if Alcaraz will get healthy and we'll sell/loan a striker if Jelavic will be allowed to leave to play to get himself to Brazil with Croatian NT. If Baines goes, then a replacement (Schennikov or Kolodziejczak please!).

In next summer I would expect bigger shaking of our squad. We need a striker (Lukaku/Benteke/Batshuayi), a winger as Deulofeu goes back to Barca, Barry (or another CM) and maybe even another winger (I expect Martinez will sell Naismith after he will improve his transfer price). Heitinga and Hibbert will go a player who can play instead of them (Aurier/Celustka).

In short, I would expect probably 2 players in January and 5/6 players in summer.

Think we'll be looking to sign players to move to 3-4-3 or possibly 3-5-2.

I believe he's also said he thinks 4-3-3 is a good formation to get on the from foot at home.

A lot of the top teams seem to be playing some variation of the 4-3-3 now
