Aye well its a discussion point that comes up now and again.
People have different viewpoints.
Ive watched us win Titles, ive watched us win the FA Cup, ive watched us play in the Europa, the Cup winners and other various crazy european comps, but ive never heard that champions league music at Goodison, so thats my choice.
....I think these threads are so ridiculous. It's never a matter of either or. The choice has been talked about so often but both are possible.
I really wonder why folk start a thread like this. You can win the FA Cup and finish top four, I suspect most FA Cup winners do.
4 weeks.Unsure. After the cup win is there a time limit on finishing 4th afterwards?
...but even that shouldn't be exclusive. If we are top four I expect us to be winning FA Cups, indeed I think we had a great chance of winning the cup this year. These things should be well within our grasp.
I have nightmares about sneezing, not getting my hand up in time and a projectile lump of phlegm from the back of my throat lands on the head of his pint.I always ask myself, what would this fella say.
The simple question posed was prompted by a discussion I was having with some Blues fans and we all agreed that given a simple choice between one or the other, we'd all take the real glory and pleasure of an FA Cup win over - 4th place finish.
It really was quite as simple as that and hence why 'simple' was used in the title.
It still hurtsTo be fair, we dont even have any "unlucky" tales of woe to tell.
We have 1 regarding the CL, bald headed weapon.
But we have been soundly beaten 99% of the times we have exited the cups.
Everton that.
God the year Wigan beat us, I had already planned my trip to Wembley, we didnt even get beat, we got slapped around like utter bishes.

Me too mate, me too..I know, Andy. It's me being a bit bolshie, but it's never a matter of either/or. A top four side invariably wins the cup. I want us to be top four AND win the FA Cup.
...we really should've won the treble in '85. I might be wrong but I think teams who win the cup are generally those who finish top 4.
