With the mighty ban hammer swinging frequently and mercilessly every time we get a casualty peopel ask "what happened to XXXXXX and why?"

A thread about who is banned, why and for how long would be boss especially if the Mods gave an official input.
Firstly us nosey gits get to know what is going on.
Secondly it would show that the site rules are being enforced and if people see lids getting binned for abuse, naughty pics or whatever I imagine they would be less likely to do it themsleves.
As long as people understand that this isnt an appeals court to get their mate re-instated we should be fine

We could have had harrowing tales of those back from a week off too - "My week of hell with no one to talk to about Monster Munch and cats and having to talk to Family" and things like that.
