A great man. My favourite England Manager of those i have seen. Hope his last days are pleasant and as pain free as possible. My Grandmother died of lung-cancer about 10 years ago, it all happened really quickly, but from what i was told she was in lot of pain during the time

Sad news. He has always been my favourite England Manager too and cant believe the stick he got shortly before he stood down.

Won trophies in 4 different countries and over 50 years in the sport has brought a lot of joy to countless fans and been responsible for bringing us the likes of Luis Figo, the real Ronaldo and Jose 'the Special One' Mourinho.

Reckon he deserves an apology from Maradona before it's too late.

He took Newcastle to 5th place once didn't he? The guy is a genius. Unfortately decent finishes aren't the NUFC way so he was 1st to be sacked the next season.

i dont like the manner in which newcastle conducted themselves in terms of how they disgarded sir bob. a true football man, whos influence and ideas are still present in the game at the highest level.

i hope when the time comes he gets a minutes applause at goodison, because if best deserved one - robson certainly does.

Since when i was around 14-15 yrs old, myself and a friend always said that we would go to his funeral, no matter where abouts in the world or whatever path in life we had taken. We both thought he was an honest fella.

I read his book 6 yrs or so ago, I can also say he is a humble and modest man. Typical old fashioned guy. The interview I read in yeasterdays Daily Mail was only to back this up.

Sir Bobby, I for one will be one of many that will line your final journey.
