The Esk

Player Valuation: £70m
In a break from tradition Sky Sports are due to announce that Grand Slam Sunday will be on Sunday 10th May 2009 featuring Hull v Stoke and West Brom v Wigan.

Also available in HD.

Sunday, 24 May 2009

Arsenal v Stoke
Aston Villa v Newcastle
Blackburn v West Brom
Fulham v Everton
Hull v Man Utd
The [Poor language removed] v Tottenham
Man City v Bolton
Sunderland v Chelsea
West Ham v Middlesbrough
Wigan v Portsmouth

What should happen:

7 or 8 close games between teams "closely-ranked" on previous performance - except we've got Arse v Stoke (promoted), Hull (promoted) v Man U, Stadium of [Poor language removed] v Kings Road Ponces... One is struggling to find a good game there.. still I suppose there might be a UEFA Cup place or 18th place still up for grabs after Hull and Stoke book their place in the Championship mid April... so Sky will probably have to close out with Fulham v Everton or Man City v Bolton as the teams in white struggle to hang on to their PL places....

Since Chavski are so determined to buy another league title (at least this puts it well out of the reach of the despairing Fat Waiter) and they, along with Mancs have their own TV channels means we are likely to lose interest in the contest and the TV coverage any day soon. It might mean something to people in Malaysia but I hardly ever watch any other teams on Sky, Setanta et al. Too much football on... I already watch all our home games, as many aways as I can manage as well.
