Sniper Death Sentence...

I was thinking last night about the Death Penalty, and how it should really be brought back in for certain crimes. You know when evil has really kicked off.

Well I think what should happen is that a death by sniper should be passed.

What happens is, for the next 25 years, you are stalked by a sniper, the judge knows the day of your death, but you don't.

The sniper is constantly on your tail so your properly supervised.

The fear is, not knowing when you are going to die, but that it could happen at any time.

I know, some dark thoughts.

Some may say alot of things, not always the right thing.

Say the same thing about a scumbag who rapes children.

Where does it end? Drunk driver runs someone over, does he get a bullet? Underage pregnancies account for around 10 of every 1,000 pregnancies. That's a whole lot of people getting killed by the courts, especially when you consider that this is no doubt the tip of the iceberg of children having sex under the legal age.

I suspect you mean child abuse cases, which is an area overblown by the tabloids. You complain about the very same publications and their actions with Jade Goody but this is no different, whipping up fear and anger where none need exist. The number of child abuse cases is dwarfed by road traffic accidents and most occur within the home or with people known by the family, yet we have an environment now where parents are **** scared that there's a paedo on every street, that volunteers run scared from any kind of youth activity for fear of villification.

You don't like the tabloids Ghost, keep reminding yourself of that.

It's not absurd to suppose that some individuals are such a risk to others that it would be "easier" to execute them. Just ask someone like Coyney what it is like working with some of the most evil and twisted minds in the world.

In saying that, I wouldn't support the death sentence on the grounds that I believe that killing in cold blood is wrong. And for the state to execute, it must be in cold blood. It must plan the death of another, then carry out the killing with the victim in full knowledge of what is about to happen. I'm uncomfortable with that state of affairs.

But I do believe that some people deserve to die for what they have done to others. I'm thinking of the victims' need for vengence here, not the twisted people that have violated them. Sometimes I would be happy to see these people get their deserts from their victims before the state has had time to intervene.

I don't think that that makes me a bad person, just someone that identifies with the plight of those that have been terrorized.

Anybody who rapes someone or sexually abuses children deserves to die.

Not many things are straightforward in life, that is & the death sentence should be brought back for people who have definately committed either crime & then probably some others. They're a waste of oxygen & tax payers money. Just end the bastards pathetic existences & save us all a few quid & a lot of people from having their life ruined by those who have been let out after serving their sentences & recommitted

Both of those crimes really get to me, Kev. Like I said, I wouldn't support the death penalty, but rapists and child molesters are a special kind of scum that I find hard to feel deserve any protection from people at all. I'd do the right thing and lock them up where they are safe, but I wouldn't feel as though they deserved my protection.
