i no i aint been around much recently.. i explain tonight..

but if anyone can help me... it will be a massive bit of help lol

this is my query

right ok...

Im trying to link from one html page, into another and then into a tab on that page

The code below will open the tab on the page, when the code is already in the said page...

<a href="javascript:tabview2_switch('tabview2',%204);">blank</a>

but what i need is to put it into another page, so that it jumps to say : index.html and then into the tab code

Any ideas boys... it really will be appreciated as im stuck and need this doing asap .. lol

Dont understand.

When a person clicks on a link, you want a new window or the link to open in a tab?

If so, a simple HTML code will sort that.

If your tab has an id, have you tried linking to the page with the id on the end (for example, index.php#someID)? Otherwise, if that doesn't work, I would say that your easiest way is giving the various tabs IDs and then calling some Show/Hide javascript. (But presumably you are using some kind of script anyway and this function would be within that script to make it work on the page so I have no idea why you are asking here rather than wherever the script came from.)

I think he's got some AJAX tabs or something that he wants to open from another page.

have a look at this

Home-tab2

this links to the right page, and down to the right section, but it doesnt open the tabs as i want them.. (their is a reason to open the tabs, and its not on this page, but it still the same principal)

basically i want it to open individual tabs, not just go to the place if u get me

I was going to say atrottel is his best bet
Watch out, Ghost is going to come in here and bop me on the head...

Jon, you might find something useful here as well:

Dynamically selecting a tab/ loading an external page

Added: since it's an Ebay shop you are talking about, you are going to have to work out how their JS is selecting which tab to show and then probably add it in as a parameter in the link. But you're likely to get more help from an Ebay store support group or developer forum than here (and definitely from me).
