Being a huge Milligan fan I came across a book at the weekend entitled The Unpublished Spike Milligan Box 18, it was not a work I was familiar with. He had gathered together all his snippets of writing to be published and edited after his death. What the heck has this to do with EFC you may ask, well Milligan was renown for not trusting people, for caring for the under privileged and wildlife and for having few friends. Despite this he was held in high regard by many but didn't suffer fools gladly.

In the acknowledgements some of his friends are thanked for helping him amongst whom are the likes of Eric Sykes a life long pal of over 50 years but at the very end it reads warmly

'and for just being him, Bill Kenwright'

For those of you who take pleasure in insulting this guy to me he is still a great blue and an all round smashing human being, even Milligan thought so! Nice one Bill(y)

When Kenwright talks about Everton, it is with the same passion that we do, we've all seen him almost choke with emotion when he states what the club means to him, you cant fake that.
