Well this could be a hint to the nugent deal, becasue in some contracts a friendly (free) can add towards a contract, (if you understand what i mean...it makes sense!) and maybe lower the transfer fee a bit

Doesnt that rule only apply if a player is a home gorwn player i.e. came through the acadamy system. I thought yous signed him from bury.

Payment of Training Compensation
Training Compensation is due:
i) when a player is registered for the first time as a Professional; or,
ii) when a Professional is transferred between clubs of two different Associations
(whether during or at the end of his contract)
before the end of the Season of his 23rd birthday.

So whether he has international experience doesn't mean [Poor language removed]. It isn't a transfer fee.
