Player Valuation: £70m
Is it me or are the media getting a tad carried away with spurs start to the season.

Ok - without trying to sound too bitter - they have beaten liverpool, hull, west ham and birmingham they are hardly world beaters (y)

Come on its still august FFS - Hull  where top this time last year.

If there still there at christmas I will give credit where credits due.

I agree

Agreed.

They've had a good start to be sure. Let's see if they can keep it going and see how they respond when they have a few blips.

All I'm concerned about at the moment is that they are on 12 points and we are on zilch .
It is essential we start winning, or we will find it difficult to make up ground.
As for them winning the league .... no.

Well after watching Arsenal defeat Arsenal while Utd was pinging it around like a League 1 side if those teams are the best of the prem I say they'd have a shot (and perhaps even City too). If they could get a keeper in the transfer window b/c they don't have euro footie and have quality depth at most positions.

Modric broke his leg though (or rather, Bowyer kindly broke it for him).

Big player for them. No doubt teddy bear face will spend £15 million on a replacement for him by Monday.

Modric broken leg - defoe injured - Theres more chance of jimmy greaves turning down a free pint than spurs mounting a title challenge.
Probably win a cup tho - thats all they seem to do isn't it (nearly 50 years since a title) (n)

The Defoe injury is a blessing in disguise. The sooner Defoe is off the pitch and Crouch is in the starting lineup the better off they will be. Defoe had a nice start but he's was so selfish in the Brum match that I'm wouldn't be surprised if his own teammates injured him in the locker room.

Mordric's injury, isn't great but they'll be OK w/o him. They have players like him on the squad. I'd be more concerned if I was a Spurs fan if it was Ledley King again. Speaking of which how the hell did he break his leg????? He got kicked (and not very hard) in the calf muscle for Christ's sake!

Didn't he go off injured at half time?
