Spurs

Thing with Kane is he'd cost crazy money, and while that'd be OK for buying a player at his peak... I still wonder whether he's a player who is a good fit for Spurs but not a good fit for a top club.

A big fish in a decent sized pond situation.

Obviously an exceptional player, but a club could spend £100m on him and get a Fernando Torres to Chelsea-type situation I think. If I were going to spend £100m on a striker this summer, it'd be Haaland all day long.

The DCL shouts aren't that mad either. Much younger, very physical and technical, it wouldn't surprise me if the likes of Manchester City were taking a very hard look at him at the mo as he'd suit their system perfectly.

The way he's reinvented himself to play now takes a degree of adjustment to work in a system. Doesn't mean he isn't great just that a team like Bayern or City might not think he's the right fit.

Yeah that's what I was trying to articulate above. Exactly this.

£50m and it's worth the gamble. £80m+ and you get serious second thoughts IMO and look for alternatives.

But it's not a reflection on how good he is to have those doubts.

Harry Kane 20+ goals in 7 consecutive seasons (and counting).

27 Premier League games this season. 17 goals and 13 assists.

Bang average. Bench warmer at best.
And he's an ugly smelly poo-poo head as well! lol

I don't know how anyone can dispute it. He won't win the golden boot every season, but to maintain that type of consistency over such a long period is ridiculous!
I would take 4 seasons of that type of high level consistency (without winning any awards) over 1 golden boot followed by 3 seasons of mediocraty. No question about it.

Harry Kane is a world class striker who would walk into any team in the world.

Spurs would be mad to sell him.
Thing is they have previous for selling top players and re investing, Kane has suspect injury issues, if they got a crazy offer they could consider doing the same.
Bit like Liverpool have done with a few players,

Good point, the Prem is littered with James Beatties, Michael Bridges, and Michael Ricketts. Players who have a season or two of quality but fade through injury, lack of application, or just not developing further.

Hardly a surprise.

I actually think Mourinho is being weirdly honest. He sets teams up to get the most out of what they have. He doesn't really push teams up. So if the players aren't good enough they won't win anything with Jose. When he says the difference is the players he really is being honest, when he doesn't have Terry, Carvalho, Lampard and Drogba or peak Ronaldo with all the other world class players at Madrid or Eto'o, Sneijder and that Inter defense he isn't going to get the results that those teams got.

He can't take Kane, Son, Hojbjerg and a bunch of dross and turn it into something. It isn't what he does.

2pts off 4th and in a cup final.

Spurs fans are delusional to turn on him.

Delusions of grandeur after Poch took a very good Spurs side into the top 4 consistently at a time when Man City and to an extent Chelsea aside the league was of relative gashness.

Harry Kane now 27 will he move to a bigger club although i think Tottenham are a big club they have done well last few years but not struck gold yet with trophies , how much will they want for him realistically 80 to 100 million would they get it this era of covid which has messed everything up , by the way i think he is fantastic striker and would do well anywhere
