Apologies for the recent site performance instability. A big priority for me is ensuring GOT is as sustainable as possible - managing all associated costs, ensuring outlay doesn't get too far away from income. A battle considerably impeded as more and more of you use adblocker...
We're well equipped to handle day to day, but we're not setup to handle 'spike' traffic. As an indication, last night our top two website referrals of traffic was Liverpool FC websites, 4th was a Man Utd. These instances are rare... similar to sudden transfer news and transfer deadline days, the costs associated with keeping the site alive for these days of the year just isn't sustainable.
That said, one of the biggest reasons for a forthcoming migration is site performance. The software we're on isn't doing us any favours. Our hosts are currently performing some maintenance to prepare us for a migration to new forum software, as well as migrating us to a new, upgraded 'Cloud' server. With that, the website may be inaccessible for a couple of minutes at random intervals over the next few days - please be patient with us.
